"Lucifer!" Amenadiel's voice called out, making Lucifer and I freeze. Lucifer was naked and just about to take my shirt off as he had me sitting on a dresser. My pants and underwear were on the other side of the room as well, so it wasn't like I could quickly get my clothes back on.

"Your bloody shirt curse better not be back." Lucifer popped off, and I laughed as he pulled away from me. "Would it kill you to knock?" He then rose his voice while looking around for his robe.

"Your door in an elevator!" Amenadiel yelled back as Lucifer pulled his robe over his shoulders and walked out of his room.

"Deary me. So....how's it hanging, big guy? Oh." Lucifer chuckled, and I heard Amenadiel sigh. Hopping down from the dresser, I grabbed Lucifer's pants and pulled them on since they were the nearest thing to cover myself with.

"Your return to Heaven has been requested."

  "Oh, the more things change."

"You said this was the morning you would ascend." Amenadiel said firmly while I was rolling up Lucifer's pants to get them to better fit.

  "Did I?"

"Yet here you are, in bed, scantily clad. Talk about things not changing? It's time, Lucy. Time for you to assume your place on Father's throne."

"Amenadiel, I know how this may sound, but he still needs some time." I spoke up while walking out of the room.

"Oh, what they said." Lucifer pointed at me before patting his brother's arm and walking toward his bar.

  "The world needs a God."

"I understand that, but wasn't even your dad on Earth for a few months?"

"Father may not have been in Heaven, but he was still God."

"Ah, he has a point there." I waved my hand while looking at Lucifer.

"Who's side are you on, Imp?" Lucifer made a face while pouring a couple of drinks.

"Well, I understand you need some time, but I also understand where Amenadiel is coming from."

"What is he even waiting for?" Amenadiel asked me instead of Lucifer.

"Well, becoming God is a big job. He doesn't want to go in half-cocked."

"I should definitely be full-cocked." Lucifer popped off as he handed me one of the glasses, and I gave him a look.

"Misha, it's a little too late to say he's not ready. We just fought a war for him."

"Well, technically, I did most of the fighting." Lucifer downed the rest of his drink. Setting my glass down, I turned my full attention to Amenadiel.

"Look, right now, the world isn't ending or in disaster, so can you give him just a little more time? He always gets there eventually, so have some faith in your brother. If he takes too long, I'll drag him up there myself." I added the last part while looking directly at Lucifer. He paused with a glass in front of his mouth.

"Don't worry, I know exactly what I need to do."

  "Did you drink my drink?"

  "Yes, I did."

"Misha, Lucifer's at the precinct and bothering Carol. Did something happen?" Chloe said over the phone with a low voice, probably because Lucifer was near her and she didn't want him to hear her.
