Taking a drink from my coffee, I set the mug back on my desk while working on paperwork. Chloe was currently out working a case with Dan, but due to what she had done, I thought it better to stay here to have space. I could understand the reasoning for her actions, but that didn't mean I was okay with them.

Not to mention Lucifer actually quit being a consultant for the time being.

My phone buzzed on the desk, and I saw it was a text from Linda asking if we could talk. Unlocking the device, I texted back that I'd come over after work. We didn't have an appointment, so I assumed she meant as friends.

Setting the phone back down, I turned my attention back to the computer while grabbing a file.

"Oh, thank goodness you're here." Linda looked relieved as she let me into the house.

"I'm not sure why you want to talk to Misha about it, I'm right here." Amenadiel said from the couch while pouting.

"About what?" My brows furrowed as the blonde lead me to the couch.

"I'm pregnant, and Amenadiel is the father." I froze in place while looking at Linda, and then at Amenadiel. "Oh, no. No, I don't like that look on your face. What is it?"

"You're pregnant? And he's the father?" I pointed, and Linda nodded.

"What's so wrong with that?" Amenadiel made a face, and I scoffed.

  "You're kidding, right?"

  "What?"

  "You're an angel. She's human."

  "So?"

"Wait, back up." I waved my finger in a winding motion. "Was this when he was human or angel?"

"Human." Linda had a worried look on her face, and I smiled while patting her shoulder.

"Oh, then you've got nothing to worry about."

"Oh. Oh, thank goodness." Linda sighed as she plopped down onto the couch.

"What are you talking about?" Amenadiel asked while crossing his arms.

"Come on, you're an angel. You've got to know." I waved my hand while putting my other hand into my jacket pocket. Amenadiel had this look on his face, and I shifted on my feet. "Seriously? I.... Are they actually not real or....?"

  "'They'? Who are 'they'?"

"....'When the sons of God lie with the daughters of man'. Not ring any bells?" I was becoming more confused by Amenadiel's expression. Either the stories were wrong and he'd never heard of them, or he just somehow didn't know.

"Misha, what are you talking about?" Linda looked at me.

"Yes, what are you talking about?"

  "Nephilim. I'm talking about Nephilim."

  "Nephilim?"

"They're the offspring of angels and humans."

"Amenadiel said this has never happened before. Between an angel and human."

"Well, I can't say it definitely has given I wasn't there, but there are some stories of children between angels and humans." I said, and Amenadiel started laughing. "I'm going to assume the laugh means they aren't real then?"

"Of course not. Angels and humans have never.... It's just not...." His smile slowly fell like something was dawning on him. "What exactly are these stories?"
