"T....Time travel?" Lucifer waved a finger while looking at me with furrowed brows. He then glanced from Rory to me, and then back to Rory as we sat on his couch. "Seriously?" He scoffed. "You're from the future?"
Lucifer sat down while trying to wrap his head around it all.
"She knew things about me that very few to none knows about." I added while leaning back on the couch. "And just because you are technically right doesn't mean the reasons you gave for her being my kid are."
"What reasons did he give?" Rory muttered while looking at me. I had already told her about how Lucifer showed up accusing her of being mine, but I hadn't told her every detail.
"I quote, 'she has red wings, and you've got red hair'." I replied, and she snorted.
"Well, it sounds ridiculous the way you put it."
"It's a quote, Lucifer. Literally what you said yourself."
"Okay, but time travel?"
"You have the superpower to bring out desires, Amenadiel can slow time, Michael exposes inner fears- Time travel doesn't seem too far out there."
"I suppose when you put it like that." He muttered before tilting his head and pointing at Rory while still looking a little confused. "So.... We have a daughter?"
"Mm-hmm." I slowly nodded, seeing the gears turning in his head. I wouldn't be surprised if I had been making the same expression last night as he was right now. It then seemed to click when he suddenly looked at me with wide eyes.
"We have a daughter." He scoffed before smiling. "It's amazing."
"I still can't believe the shit you said was right. Technically." I chuckled, and Rory cleared her throat while awkwardly smiling.
"I'd say 'get a room,' but well, clearly, you did." She popped off while gesturing to herself, and I snorted.
"Very good." Lucifer softly laughed. "I'm not sure where to start. I, um...." He glanced at me, and I just rose my eyebrows. "I owe you an apology, Rory, for how I reacted last time you were here. You caught me a little off guard, what with the wing to the throat." Lucifer joked, getting Rory to chuckle. "Though, you definitely get that from Misha."
"Hey."
"I leave for two weeks, come back, and the first thing you do is gut punch me. You don't get to 'hey' me on that one." Lucifer pointed. "Regardless, I am sorry." He said after turning his attention back to Rory. "But, if you're from the future, and you're our child, then there must be some mistake."
"Why?" Rory's smile fell.
"Because I would never abandon you."
"....I told you coming here was a terrible idea." Rory looked at me.
"Not terrible, just very confusing." I waved my hand. "We don't know anything about the future other than what you've said, and even you know very little about what happened. All you can tell us is Lucifer left, but you have no clue why." I glanced at Lucifer before looking back at Rory. "And the Lucifer of this time wouldn't do that. Which means something happened."
"Well, of course something happened. I'd never willingly abandon my own child." Lucifer gestured at Rory.
"Well, I don't know what to tell you. All I know is you left, and if you hadn't, I wouldn't be here."
"What does that mean?"
"Before I traveled here, I was...." Rory looked at me, seemingly trying to pick her words carefully. "I-I was going through something big. And I thought.... I felt like, if you were ever going to finally show up after being gone my whole life, it would be in that moment." Her voice faltered as she looked at Lucifer. "But you didn't. And then I felt this rush of pure rage. And then I was here."
