Fascinating (A Duskwood Fanfiction)

Chapter 9

It was 8 P.M on the clock when (YN) decided to walk on foot to Aurora bar after finding out that her car just ran out of gas. She's been busy thinking about other stuff and she completely forgot about that, she is so focused on her investigation. At least the streets on Duskwood are illuminated in the street lights and there are few people outside that's why she's satisfied to walk all by herself and not worrying if the same attack on Jessy would happen to her. She brought a satchel that contains some of her important belongings since she needs those in making a confrontation to Phil.

Once she arrived at the Aurora bar, she expected it to already be crowded by this time and the music was all blaring in her ears. I should find a different meeting place, but I can't waste time. (YN) thought. She walked towards the bar counter, sat on one of the available stools in the corner part and asked the bartender stationed there.

"Hi, may I know if Phil is there?" She asked.

"He's not here yet." He answered.

"Okay, I'll just wait for him. And can I have an espresso?"

The bartender throws her a confused look after ordering a coffee but still proceeds on making her one. It's weird to have that kind of drink during this hour and a party place like this but she needs caffeine to wake up her senses and her mind because this is going to be a long night for sure.

(YN) texted Lilly that she is already in the bar and just waiting for Phil. She doesn't know how long she will wait or what time Phil will come, until two hours and thirty minutes just passed and he's still not showing up. She already waited for a long time. At least she can still manage to wake herself up from the espresso she just finished, doing doodles on her notebook and playing on her mobile to kill the boredom of waiting.

Suddenly, the bartender who served her espresso a while ago reached another cocktail drink and it is the same Sunshine Euphoria. The bartender said someone just bought her the drink. (YN) thought it was from Phil again because it's the same drink, she insisted on paying for it but the bartender didn't take her money but she left it there on the counter. I can pay for my own drinks. She protested in her thought. She looked at the drink and thought that Phil was already around and just taking care of some stuff on his own establishment. She took a sip from the Sunshine Euphoria, as two men approached her. At first, she didn't care but until her drink was almost half, the other men on her left side faced her and showed a smile.

"Hello." The man greeted. He seemed decent, fine and he's looking expensive with his suit that would (YN) think he is a businessman or some kind of a model. "I saw yesterday here."

(YN)  is confused why this man approached and just talked to her. "Excuse me. May I know you?" She asked. She does not like what is gonna happen.

"I'm Luke. I wonder what have you been doing in this place and you're all alone." He addressed (YN) with a full smile.

"I'm waiting for someone." (YN) answered in a near boring voice. She doesn't know why she's feeling tired even though she just finished an espresso a while ago, or maybe she just doesn't have a mood to talk to this person in front of her.

"Really? I noticed that you've been sitting here alone for almost an hour. Oh by the way, may I know your name?" The guy in front of him is getting close to her, he keeps leaning too close when he's speaking to (YN) and she's having discomfort with that.

"I am---" She stopped when a sudden shot of pain hit her head. (YN) started to get her sight to become blurry and felt nausea. Crap. I knew this was gonna be bad.  She thought but still managed to answer Luke with a made up name of her.

Despite the fact that she's starting to feel sick from drinking that drugged Sunshine Euphoria, she's getting more uncomfortable with the guy who just came to her named Luke. The guy keeps touching her waist and her hands, he is too close to her and she doesn't like it. He's whispering to her some flirtatious words but (YN) doesn't seem to care because she keeps trying to fight the effects of drugs in her body, she's keeping herself awake. She needs to be rescued now. She tried to look for her phone but Luke is still holding her arms and now trying to kiss her.
