Chapter 24✨

I raise my eyebrow.

"Well, ok then.. Good job." I say before walking away.

"Oh- Yes Thank you- you too" He says quickly.

When I finally make my way to Bakugo, I don't say anything. I just stood there stretching. He looked at me.

"What? Are you not going to say anything" He questions.

"That depends, are you gonna get mad?" I reply.

"Why would I get-"

I narrow my eyes.

"Ok, fine. I won't get mad." He states.

"Good job." I say. He looks at me confused.

"You made it to the next round, and you placed high. Don't go moping about not placing first. Kick ass in the next challenge." I say. All he does is smirk as we wait to hear what the next challenge will be.

A Cavalry Battle?

Midnight is explaining the rules. It was simple, have as many points as you can before the time runs out. Each person has their own points because of where they placed. Last place being 5 points and 1st place has 10,00o,000.

Everyone was staring at Midoriya. I placed my hand over my mouth.

Oh my-

I looked back to Midnight. "You have 15 minutes to pick your teams, starting NOW!" a whistle blew and everyone started picking teams. Before I could walk around to find a group, Bakugo grabbed my arm and said, "You're with me, Bubbles." I began to panic. I can't be paired up with Bakugo, the heat from his explosions would make my shields weaker... I'd just hold him back.

I pulled out of his grip and he looked back to look at me.

"What the hell-"

"Listen, I can't be in your group... I'll just hold you back."

He looked at me confused.

"If you want to win you need a strong team- I'd only hold you back. " I stated

"Wait-" Bakugo was cut off but a lot of students crowded around him asking if they could join his team.

Walking around I crashed into Iida.

"Forgive me, Sumiye. I wasn't paying attention." He stated.

"Oh, It's ok. My bad." I laugh nervously.

"Do you have a group?" He asked me.

"Uh.. No." I say looking around.

"Oh, um maybe Todoroki has more space on our team."

"Wait what-" Iida turned to talk to Todoroki.

I stood there a little awkward.

"Sorry, Sumiye-"

"It's ok, really thank you. Um Good Luck." I say walking away to find a group.

"Oof I need to find a group soon-" I felt a tap on my shoulder.

"Hey Sumiye, We still need one more member. How do you feel about joining our group." I turned to my right to see who was talking to me. I smiled.

"I'd love to Midoriya."

The full group consisted of Me, Midoriya, Uraraka and Tokoyami. Midoriya told me that we'd most likely be on defense most of the game, which luckily for me, was my strong suit. I was on Midoriya's right side, while Uraraka was on his left, and Tokoyami was in the front. I actually felt pretty good about our team. I looked around at the other teams. Jiro was with Hagakure, Sato and Koda. I also see Bakugo. He looked beyond mad, but when we made eye contact, I thought I saw a hint of betrayal in his eyes. As much as it pained me to not be on the same team as him. His quirk and mine would not have been a good match together. I'll have to explain that to him after the sports festival. I hope that is doesn't ruin anything between us...

Once the 15 minutes to pick our teams was over, each team went to its own location in the arena.

"Are we all ready?" Midoriya asked.

"Yes! let's win this." We all say.

"Your 15 minutes start.... NOW!" Midnight shouted.

With that many groups started running towards us full force for our headband.

"I have an idea, Uraraka on my signal." She nods.

All the teams were getting closer and closer to us.

"Uraraka now." I placed a large amount of energy at the bottom of our feet and I launched the group into the air and we jumped to the other side of the field. Midoriya looked at me.

"You know if it wasn't for you Midoriya, I would have never trained this part of my quirk." I say.

Uraraka and I manage to avoid many of the groups for a bit. Until Uraraka's foot got stuck in one of Mineta's balls.

"Crap." I hear Uraraka say under her breath.

We panic thinking about what to do. Then Tsu started to fling her tongue at Midoriya. I place a wall on the side where her tongue was coming from.

"I'm sorry Uraraka, I hope you don't mind losing your shoe." I placed more even energy at the bottom of us.

This went on for a while. I took a deep breath in. Uraraka was really helping me with her quirk. We had made it past the halfway point. Suddenly, Todoroki's group came out of nowhere. Todoroki froze the floor, leaving many teams immobile.

We were pinned by Todoroki's group.

Denki sent a burst of electricity, I wasn't fast enough to block it so Dark Shadow took a hit. This didn't work in our favor. This actual hurt Dark Shadow because of the light that was produced.

"Midoriya, I can't use energy to boost us out of here or else I'll be useless to you. I can put up a force field but I don't think I can hold it for 5 full minutes." I tell him. Frustrated at myself.

Get it together, Shina.

Midoriya was trying to keep on Todoroki's left side. Something about not getting hit by Todoroki's ice. As we were trying to think of a strategy. I saw that Iida was about to run to us. I was about to create a shield bubble. But before I could make it, the unimaginable happened.
