I was in my room watching T.V. It had been 2 weeks since the U.A. entrance exams. After I passed out the nurse Recovery Girl. Since then I'd been anxiously waiting for my letter to arrive.
Maybe, they don't want people that pass out after a battle?
I started to think about the blonde boy, Midoriya, the brown haired girl, and the guy in glasses.
I hope they got in. I mean I couldn't care less about the guy in glasses but I wouldn't want to be rude.
I could feel my anxiety begin to rise.
What if I wasn't good enough. NO I can't think like that. I've been training for as long as I can remember. I passed. I just have to be patient. I'm going to see that blonde kid again. I said I would pass.
I took a few deep breaths.
Maybe I'll just sleep it off.
I pulled my blanket over me and took a nap.
When I woke up it was nearly 7pm. I walked down stairs to get something to eat. "I see you woke up from your nap. I made some food for you. Here, let me serve you." Yuki insisted.
"Thank you but it's ok, Yuki. You should get home, I think I can manage the house for the next hour." I smiled at her.
"Oh, but Lady Sumiy- I mean Shina. Your parents aren't home. You'll be alone." She said worried.
"It's ok, I'm sure your kids and grandkids want to see you too,"
She smiled, "Thank you Shina. Also, a letter came for you in the mail to today." She informed me. My stomach dropped. "It was from U.A. I believe." The butterflies in my stomach grew. I smiled and went to get the mail. "I will see you tomorrow Shina." Yuki said before leaving the house. I excitedly got the mail. I found the letter from U.A. and my heart was working over time. I opened the letter and found a small circular device. What is this? I questioned I put it on the table and the device projected a video.
'Hello Shina Sumiye this is Principle Nezu of U.A. High. After reviewing your scores in your written and physical exam. I am pleased to inform you of your acceptance into the hero course at U.A. High."
"HELL YEA!" I said as I jumped up and down I was so happy and excited. I did it! I got in. I ran around the house chanting. I wanted to tell someone but I looked around and it was just me. My smile faded as I sat on the couch and looked at my phone. I'll text Yasuko, she was the person that wished me luck the day of the exam. I think that she would be happy to hear the good news.
I opened my phone and texted my sister the good news. I sigh putting my phone down, and turned the T.V. on waiting for my parents to get home.
My parents are Ayako and Daisuke Sumiye, CEO's of a popular hero tech company. My adoptive parents to be exact. They took me in when I was 7 after my real parents got into an 'accident'. Anyway they are constantly traveling for work and spend a lot of time at the office. I'm alone most of the time which sucks, but I can't really complain. I'm fed, I'm dressed and I have a home. I know they care about me, and that their work is very important. So I brush it off. Yasuko is their daughter, she is about 6 years older than me, and recently moved to run a branch of our parent's company in Tokyo. I miss her a lot though. When I first moved in she was kind and helped me adjusting to the new lifestyle. They all happen to be quirkless. So, I was a definite outlier here, but they are still caring.
At around 10pm my parents finally got home.
"Hey Mom, Hey Dad. Another long day?" I ask. greeting them as they walk in the door. Recently they'd been getting home at 10pm when they were supposed to come home at 8pm.
"Sorry, Shina. We just lost track of time and we're very busy." My mom said.
"It's ok," I smile, "Besides I have some good news."
"Oh, I'm excited to hear it, but can I get some food?" My dad stated.
"Oh, of course." I went into the kitchen and served the food that Yuki had made for my parents. We sat at the table while my parents ate.
"So, what was the good news Shina?" My mom asked me.
"Oh, yes. So... I GOT INTO U.A." I said excitedly.
"Wow Honey that's great." My dad said, "We are proud of you." He smiled.
"Your other parents would have been proud as well." My mom smiled and grabbed my hand. "but U.A. is hard work so you can't fall behind." My dad informed me.
"I won't." I smiled. They smiled and we talk a little longer before we all went to bed.
