I began walking to the locker room where my hero suit was.

"NovaKnight, Sorry, change into this," Scorch handed me a box.

"Oh, what is it," I asked

"You'll see."

I took the box into the locker room. I opened it, and my eyes watered up a bit. It was my mother's old hero suit. It was a suit she had when she was in High School. I didn't question it. I put it on and admired myself. I was so happy that it fit. It was a thicker material than my original hero suit, not to mention additional padding. The knee-high boots had hidden padding as well with knee and ankle support. There was a full garter connected to what looked like a flat back padding. It was a stiffer material and was fitted to my back. However, it was flexible enough for me to move easily with it.

"You look just like your mother, with your father's hair color." Scorch laughed.

I hadn't heard her laugh during my time in Kozui City.

"Thank you, but what is this?" I say, holding the garter to which the back padding is attached.

"It's like armor. It's a back shield you can use to fall into if someone tries to hit you from behind. It can be used to store some extra energy; plus, it's fireproof. Your mother designed it in high school."

It was similar to what I wanted in a new hero suit. My smile turned into a frown.

"What's wrong?" She asked.

"Is, it too soon, to take on my parents' hero names, or to wear her hero suit?" I ask.

"Shina, your parents, would want this for you. You are stronger than you know. I can't imagine how many proheros probably wanted to recruit you. Not to mention, you also hold your parents' ideals."

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"Since you've been here, you've been nothing but respectful and kind. You don't boast about your third-place win in the sports festival. You are humble, and all you have shown is that you are willing to learn and grow as a hero and a person. I'd have many interns and let me just say kids your age aren't always as patient as you." She put her hand on my shoulder and stood behind me as we looked in the mirror.

"You are growing into the person, your parents always hoped you'd become."

I smiled as we walked to take an agency vehicle to Hosu City.

As I looked out the window, I thought about Iida.

I hope he's doing ok. I hoped that my talk to him might have helped him a little. I know how blind we can be when we are in desperation and want justice. I just don't want him to do anything stupid.

After an hour's drive, we arrived in Hosu City. Scorch told me we were doing a patrol because of the hero killer. She doubted he would show his face with so many heroes on patrol. But even then, we had to be on high alert.

After about 20 minutes, we heard an explosion from a few blocks away.

"Are you ready, NovaKnight?" Scorched asked me.

"Always."

We ran to see what was going on. There were two Nomus.

"Nomus? Again?" I say.

"What do you mean again?" Scorch asked as she sent a flame to hit the Nomu.

"One of these creatures attacked my class when we were training at the USJ."

I began telling Scorch about it.

She and other Heros began fighting it.

"NovaKnight, go help anyone trapped under the rubble."

"Yes, Ma'am!"

I started asking civilians if they were alright and aiding them to safety. Scorch took a step back from the fight as other heroes aided in helping in fighting the Nomu.

"NovaKnight, I have a mission for you."

"Yes, Scorch,"

"I got a distress call from our prohero, Native. He just sent me his location. I need you to make sure he is ok. You need to be on high alert. If it is something you can't handle, you get other proheros to help. You get out of there, got it?"

"But?"

"Do you understand me?"

"Yes, I understand." I nod.

"Go quickly," Scorch ordered.

I ran following the location. It was about 10 minutes away.

It was an alley.

I cautiously turned the corner. Native was lying on the ground, wounded, alone.

"Native, are you ok?" I look around and see no one near.

His eyes widen, "NovaKnight, you need to get out of here." he said, wincing in pain as his side bled.

"We need to get you help," I say.

"I can't move." Native spoke

"What do you mean?"

"Well, calling a child to get you out of trouble? How pathetic." A voice spoke.

My eyes widened, and I was face to face with the Hero Killer, Stain. My heart was pounding in my chest. His eyes were as sharp as the blades he carried. Before he could strike, I placed a shield bubble around Native and Myself. And now I had 20 minutes for the pros to arrive before my quirk gives out. He hit and tried to cut through my bubble with his blades. He got a little frustrated.

"Every quirk has his drawn back." He stated.

"You've already wounded him. What more do you want." I say.

"His life- False heroes, run around and serve nothing to this society."

"And they should pay with their life?"

"Yes, what about you, child? Why were you sent here, alone? Clearly unprepared." His eyes widened. "That suit, I remember that suit. Nova?"

"It's NovaKnight,"

"So you must be Kishi and Teru's kid?"

My throat was caught in my throat. The hero killer, Stain, knew my parents' names.
