The Next Day
I woke up to a text from Bakugo telling me to meet him at the park. It was more of a command than an invite, but it was Bakugo we were talking about.
I went downstairs to eat breakfast with my parents.
"So you are leaving back to Tokyo next week?" I ask.
"Yes, will you be ok?" My mom asked.
"I will." I smiled, but I was saddened that they were leaving so soon.
"Also, I got invited to hang out with a friend today. I hope that is ok?" I say.
"Of course-"
"What friend?" My dad asked.
"Bakugo Katsuki." I saw with a mouth full of food.
"Sports Festival winner? Are you sure you want to be friends with him?" My dad asked.
"He's a good guy, Dad. A little stubborn but but good." I state.
"Well, now I know why you get along." My dad teased.
'Wow." I laugh.

A little later, I left for the park to meet with Bakugo. I didn't see him, though. I went to the spot where we would spar.
"I'm right here, Idiot. You blind or something?" I heard his voice.
I turn and see Bakugo in a hoodie and jeans. He had his hood up and a beanie as well. It wasn't a cold day.
"Oh, Hey, Blondie. Sorry, I didn't recognize you. Is this your normal style outside of school?"
"No-"
"Oh." I looked at his outfit one more time. It seemed like he was hiding something. He wasn't acting like himself, almost like he was nervous about something.
"Are you ok?"
"Why the hell wouldn't I be." Even his tone was off.
"Ok then... anyway, I see you kept the jeans." I joke.
"It's not like that-" he stated, almost annoyed that I brought the jeans up.
"Well, you are acting weird- so maybe I should just go," I say awkwardly.
"NO. I mean- um, no. Look, you have to promise you won't laugh."
"Why would I-"
"Promise- or else."
"Or else what?" I tease. But he was actually kinda serious. "Ok, I promise I won't laugh," I say, crossing my heart.
"Ok." Bakugo sighed as he removed his hood and beanie.
It was his hair. He'd been hiding his hair. It was the same style as Best Jeanist.
"Oh." That was all I managed to say.
"God, that's worse than you laughing at me,' he tried to put his hoodie back on.
"Bakugo no- wait ok ok. I just- I thought you were going to, like, tell me some dark ass secret. But Bakugo, it's hair."
"I look like an idiot. It doesn't wanna go back, this stupid thing." He messes his hair up just for it to go back to into Best Jeanist's style.
"Bakugo, it doesn't look bad. It's actually kinda cute."
"You're just saying that- Look, don't fucking lie-"
"I'm not lying." I walk closer to him. He watches me, and I approach him. I reach my hands up to his hair.
