You're Just Not My Type (Tenya Iida x OC)

Chapter 9✨

The four of us walked with All Might to the entrance of the building we were going to battle in. All Might was explaining the rules. It was hard to pay attention though, because there was a weird energy coming from Bakugo, he just seemed so angry. I hope it doesn't affect his overall performance. All Might lets Bakugo and Iida walk in and prepare themselves.

I turn to Midoryia. "Ok so, we need to work together and be on the same page alright? So I need you to know that I have a huge disadvantage against Bakugo. The heat the radiates off of his explosions cause the molecules of my shields to break so I wouldn't be able to hold a shield for long." I inform him.

"Ok, thank you for letting me know but I have a feeling you might not have to fight him." Midoriya says.

"Why is that-" I was interrupted.

"BEGIN!"

We were signaled to start our exercise that was being timed. Midoriya and I climbed in the building through one of the windows. As we started walking through a long hallway, Bakugo jumped out of nowhere and blast Midoriya and I. Midoriya pushing us both out of the way. "Are you ok, Shina?" He asked.

"Yea, I'm fine."
When Bakugo went for punch, Midoriya grabbed his right arm and flipped him onto the ground. Midoriya tells Bakugo that he isn't the same kid weak kid, and that Deku was the name of a hero. Bakugo went on to say that even though Midoriya was scared he was still fighting and that's why Bakugo hates him. Damn, they got some issues that they need to work through. I think to myself.

"Shut up and defend the weapon." I hear Bakugo say.

So they aren't working together? That gives us the advantage.

When Bakugo goes for another blast Midoriya tells me to run. I trust him in this situation. If we both get taken down by Bakugo then we will lose for sure. I run up stairs to try and find where Iida was with the weapon. The build seemed like a giant maze I felt like I was going to get lost. Finally I walked into a floor that was full of columns. When I turned to hide behind one I saw Iida. He sounded like he was monologuing, like an actual villain.

"I am the personification of evil." He states in a creepy voice.

I place my hand over my mouth to keep myself from laughing. He is taking this to a whole new level. I called into Midoriya through the earpiece. "Midoriya, come in?"

"What happened?" He responds.

"I located Iida and the weapon. I'm in the middle of the 5th floor."

"That's right above me." he states.

"I haven't been discovered yet, do I should I make a move? How is your situation with Bakugo?"

He didn't respond but there was a loud explosion. Oh crap, what happened.

Iida tried connecting with Bakugo through the earpiece.

Here goes nothing. If I can't out run him, I'll have to block him.

I start running straight toward the weapon, as Iida runs towards me I focus energy to my feet and propel myself toward and jump over him. Before I can get to the weapon, Iida moves it out of the way. So I place a wall in front of him. He crashes into the wall falling backwards letting go the the weapon.

I run toward him to try and get the weapon but once again he reaches it before me and tries to turn to the right side of the room. I place another energy wall in his path and he crashes into it again.

This goes on a few more times.

"Midoriya, I can't seem to get to the weapon from Iida. I'm not sure what to do. He's been crashing into walls and if I make him crash into anymore I might give him a damn concussion."

"Ok, I have an idea but wait for my signal." He states.

"Ok."

I stand in front of Iida in a fighting stance.

I just have to stall until I get the signal. Easy. I smirk. 

"So Glasses, what's with the Knight in Shiny amour getup?" I ask.

I can tell that this catches Iida my surprise.

"Sumiye, we are in the middle of a battle. My name is Tenya Iida, you can stop calling me Glasses. "

"Noted, but I'm curious." I respond.

3rd Pov

Iida was confused. Partially because he was dizzy after crashing into all the walls Shina made. He trying to figure out what Shina was trying to do. Was she playing a trick on him, or was she simply asking a question? He had notice that this girl had some hostile feelings toward him. She didn't accept his 'apology' and he simply didn't understand her. She was was a lot different that he was that was for sure.

"So no answer Glasses?" Shina says trying to get his attention.

but before Iida can answer a large bang goes throughout the building and a large hole is made.

"Now Shina!" Midoriya yells. This cause Shina to run forward she encases Iida in a shield bubble and jumps onto the weapon. Once the pressure leaves, Iida stares at Shina in shock as she drops her bubble.

"I am curious about that costume, but you can answer my question another day. Good job Glasses." Shina said walking off.

Iida stands in shock as All Might declares the Hero team as the winners.
