Chapter 19

The arrival to the beach

Amy had just arrived home and was now in her room packing her stuff she needs for tomorrow's school trip to the beach. Amy was almost done packing as she then heard a knock on her door.

"Come in" The door was then opened by Vanilla.

"Hey Amy, I'm just here to tell you that dinner will be ready soon" Vanilla said. Amy nodded her head.

"Alright Mrs. Vanilla" Amy replied while she puts a towel in her suitcase. Vanilla saw this and smiled.

"Why are you packing Amy? Are you going somewhere tomorrow?" Vanilla asked.

"Yup! My school is having a school field trip tomorrow"

"Ohhh. Where will you guys go?"

"We're going to the beach tomorrow"

"That's wonderful. You're going to have lots of fun tomorrow" Vanilla smiled happily as Amy smiled back.

"Yeah. I'll definitely will"

"Well I better go and finish making dinner. Go ahead and finish packing" Vanilla patted Amy's head and walked out of the room. Amy then continued putting the last of her stuff into her suitcase and soon was done. Vanilla then called Amy that dinner was ready. When she was done eating she soon went to bed early to wake up early tomorrow. The next day, Amy already finished eating and changing as she said goodbye to Cream and Vanilla as she head towards the school with her suitcase. When she arrived, she saw a lot of buses and a lot of students. Amy looked around to try and find her friends. When she spotted them, she walked towards them.

"Hey guys!" Amy yelled to get their attention. Maria and Blaze heard it and saw Amy walking towards them.

"Hey Amy" They said together.

"You guys came her early"

"Yeah, I'm just really excited that I had to come here early" Maria said cheerfully as Blaze and Amy giggled. Amy looked around for a bit, trying to find Sonic.

"You looking for someone Amy?" Blaze asked, seeing Amy looking around.

"Oh. I'm just looking where Sonic is" Amy replied still looking around to find Sonic. Blaze giggled at her. Blaze then saw Sonic and she tapped on Amy shoulder.

"Amy, his right there" Blaze pointed to Sonic who was walking towards them along with Shadow and Silver.

"Hey girls" Sonic said as Blaze and Maria waved at him. Amy blushed seeing him as she smiled nervously and slowly waved back.

"You girls excited for the trip to the beach?" Silver said as the girls nodded excitingly.

"Alright students, get in the bus now so we can all head to the beach" The principal said. Everyone cheered as they ran into their bus that they were assigned from their teachers. Amy tried to find a seat for her since there's only two seats in every bus. Amy then found an empty seat but also saw that Sonic was sitting on other one.

"U-Umm. Hey Sonic, is someone e-else seating here?" Amy asked Sonic. Sonic shook his head and smiled.

"Nope, you can seat here next to me if you like" Sonic replied which made Amy tensed up a bit.

"O-Oh. A-are you sure? Cause m-maybe someone else might want this seat. I-I can just find another one"

"No no no, I insist. You can seat here" Sonic patted the seat for Amy to sit down. Amy blushed and just nodded.

"O-Okay, thanks" Amy sat down on the seat.

"No problem" Sonic smiled kindly at her. Amy blushed more but smiled back a little. Soon, all the buses started to drove off to the beach. When they arrived, the teachers assigned all their students on which room they will be sleeping in the hotel.

"Wow! It looks so beautiful" Amy said admiring the beautiful sight of the beach.

"Come on guys, let's go swimming!" Maria cheered as she ran towards the ocean with Blaze behind her. Amy was about to join them when she then saw Silver and Shadow.

"Hey" Amy smiled walking towards them.

"Hey Amy" Silver smiled back.

"Where's Sonic?"

"His right there" Shadow said pointing at Sonic who was hiding behind a tree.

"Why is he hiding behind that tree?"

"His scared of the water"

"I AM NOT SCARED!" Sonic yelled at Shadow.

"Then why don't you go near it then" Shadow smirked. Sonic looked at the ocean shakily.

"U-Ummm. H-How about you guys go and swim while I stay here safe and dry" Sonic smiled nervously. Shadow chuckled as he walked towards the ocean with Silver by his side. Amy looked at Sonic worriedly as she walked towards him.

"Sonic, are you okay?" Amy asked worriedly.

"O-Oh. Me? Y-Yeah, I'm fine" Sonic replied as he leaned back on the tree.

"Are you sure? There's nothing wrong to be scared of the water" Amy gently puts a hand on Sonic's shoulder. Sonic looked at her eyes as he sighed.

"Okay. Yes, I am scared of the water cause........I can't swim" Sonic looked away embarrassed that he can't swim.

"Don't be embarrassed that you can't swim. If you like I can teach how"

"Really?"

"Yeah! Come on" Amy grabbed Sonic's hand as they ran towards the ocean together. Amy then slowly helped Sonic on how to swim for the whole morning. Sonic got a bit scared but soon calmed down and slowly got the hang of it. Soon it was now launch time as everyone gathered to the hotel cafeteria.

"That was a lot of fun" Maria said happily as she took a bite of her shrimp.

"Yeah, I'm surprise that Sonic got into the water" Shadow said.

"I told you not to underestimate me Shadow" Sonic smirked as Shadow rolled his eyes at him. They all continued to eat their launch together happily. They all finished eating as they all went out of the hotel and took a little stroll together.

"Hey Amy"

"Yeah Sonic?"

"I just wanna say thank you for teaching me how to swim earlier"

"You're welcome" Amy smiled as Sonic smiled back. Sonic then kissed Amy's cheek which made Amy's eyes widened. Sonic smiled again as he walked to the other way. Amy stood there shock as her face turned red with blush. A small smile appear on her face as she looked towards the blue ocean.
