Chapter 12

An old friend

Sonic was surprise seeing his childhood friend Sally again. He was also surprise that Sally is now going in the same school as him. Sonic then walked towards the table where Sally is seating.

"Hey Sal! Its been a while since we've seen each other" Sonic said as Sally smiled.

"Yeah. Its really nice to see you again" Sally said as Sonic smiled back.

"Hey what about me?" Knuckles said as Sonic and Sally chuckled.

"Its nice to see you too Knux" Sally said as Knuckles cross his arms and pouted.

"Yeah. And guess what Sal, Sonic is really popular in this school" Knuckles said sarcastically as Sonic rolled his eyes.

"Not surprise. He's always popular to every school he goes to" Sally said as Sonic scratch the back of his head.

"Heh. Yeah" Sonic said "So how's the others doing?"

"Oh you mean Rotor, Antoine and Bunnie. Their doing alright, Antoine and Bunnie are now together" Sally said as Knuckles and Sonic's eyes widened in surprise.

"Wow! That's a surprise" Sonic said as Knuckles nodded in agreement.

"Hehe yeah" Sally said. The three of them then starts to talk about the old days when they use to hangout together. Amy smiled seeing Sonic talking to one of his old friend but was also a bit jealous. She didn't know why she was jealous of Sally even tho Sally was just friends with Sonic. Later, the bell rang as all the students went to their next classes. Amy then looked at Sonic as she start to blush.

"U-Um h-Hey Sonic" Amy said stuttering a little as Sonic turned his head to look at her.

"Yeah?" Sonic said.

"I-I didn't know you and Sally were friends" Amy said as Sonic smiled.

"Oh yeah. We were friends since we were kids. Its actually nice seeing her again. I really did miss her" Sonic said as he looked up at the ceiling as Amy frowned a bit but then smiled.

"You two seem really close" Amy said as Sonic looked back at Amy.

"Oh yeah we are but we're just friends" Sonic said as Amy sigh in relief hearing that Sonic and Sally are just friends. Then the teacher entered the classroom as everyone sat down and kept quit as the teacher started talking. Few hours later, the bell rang as all the students ran out of the school and walked their way back to their houses. Amy was waiting outside of the school for Blaze and Maria to walk out.

"Hey Amy!" Amy turned her head and smiled seeing Blaze and Maria walking towards her.

"Hey guys" Amy said smiling as Maria and Blaze were now standing in front of her.

"Come on let's go home" Maria said as Amy nodded as they start to walk back home. While they were walking down the streets Amy saw Sonic and Sally walking together and were talking. Amy lowered her ears and frowned seeing the both of them. Blaze notice this as she starts to get worried.

"Hey you okay?" Blaze said as Amy turned her head to look at her as she smiled a bit.

"Yeah I'm fine" Amy lied. Blaze knew she was lying as Maria heard that there was something wrong with Amy as she listens.

"Don't lie to me Amy, I know there's something wrong with you" Blaze said.

"Look I'm fine Blaze, don't worry" Amy said.

"Come on Amy, tell us don't you trust us?" Maria said as Blaze nodded in agreement. Amy looked at the both of them in surprise.

"Of course I trust you guys" Amy said.

"Then tell us what's wrong" Blaze said as Amy sigh and nodded.

"Alright. Its just that seeing Sonic and Sally so close together makes me well......" Amy said as she didn't finish the last part of her sentence.

"Jealous?" Maria said as Amy nodded and looks down.

"Yeah. And makes me think I won't have a chance for Sonic to like me more then a friend" Amy said sadly.

"Amy, don't say that you'll have a chance" Blaze said.

"Yeah. Beside Sonic said that they're 'just friends'" Maria said as Blaze nodded.

"Yeah. So don't worry to much Amy, I am sure you'll get a chance to make Sonic like you" Blaze said as Amy smiled.

"Thanks guys, you're the best" Amy said as she hugged them.

"You're welcome Amy" Maria and Blaze said as they both hugged back and continued walking back to their houses.

~With Sally and Sonic~

Sonic and Sally were walking down the streets while they talk to each other about the times they had together when they were kids. Soon they arrived outside of Sonic's house.

"Hey Sally, before you go home let's hangout in the park with Tails together" Sonic said as Sally smiled and nodded.

"Sure, sounds fun" Sally said.

"Okay. Wait right here I'll be right back" Sonic said as he zoomed into his house "Hey Tails!"

"Yeah?" Tails shouted as he walked down the stairs.

"Sally's here!" Sonic said as Tails smiled happily as he flew up and search around the house.

"Where is she?!" Tails said excitingly as Sonic chuckled.

"She's outside cause I told her to wait there and I also told her that you, me and her are gonna hangout together at the park. You up for it?" Sonic said as Tails nodded rapidly.

"Yeah! Its been so long since I've seen Sally" Tails said as he stops flying and landed on the floor smoothly.

"Great! Let's go" Sonic said as he walked out of the house with Tails. When Tails saw Sally standing outside of Sonic's house he smiled widely and ran towards her.

"Sally!" Tails said as he hugged Sally tightly.

"Hey Tails! Its so nice to see you again" Sally said as she hugged back.

"You too! Its been so long" Tails said as he soon broke the hug. Sally patted Tails head as he giggled. Sonic smiled at the scene.

"Alright, let's go to the park and have fun!" Sonic said.

"Yeah!" Sally and Tails said at the same time as they walk their way to the park. The three of them had a lot of fun hanging out at the park together. They also bought some ice cream and smiled happily on how much fun they had. Once in a while Sonic would look at Sally and would smile happily at her.
