Day off

You wake up. Gathering your thoughts. Thats when you realise
Shit, you spent the night, you slowly try to get up
"Where do you think you're going"
"Morning" he pulls you back to him.
"Can we do that again Miss Hunter"
The temptation is so high, but you kindly decline.
"One chance only" You scramble your clothes together, and start to get dressed. Thor is sitting up hands behind his head watching you.
"Enjoying the show?"
"Oh i certainly am" "i don't know why you're rushing off, stay?"
"No, however much i enjoyed last night, and trust me i did"
"I know" he winks
"I shouldn't of stayed, now i need to get to my room without anyone seeing, pretty hard to do when its probably pretty late in the morning"
You were right, it was coming up to 11.
"I was supposed to be meeting Steve at 11, shit"
"I blame you"
"Oh, so you're complaining are you" he comes and grabs you. "Because I'm not going to let you go now" you try to put up and fight but you cant stop giggling.
You lean in and kiss him
"Thats a goodbye, now let me go" You smile at him as he releases his grip.
You look around as you leave his room, yours isn't too far, on the next floor up, now to just avoid anyone catching you.
"Steve" you hear
Thor is stood outside his room in just a towel, he's cornered Steve.
"Where are you heading to this morning?"
"Erm.... well I'm just going to Agent Hunters room, she was supposed to meet me at 11, but she hasn't, so just checking in on her, you haven't seen her have you?
"No, not since last night"
Fuck, fuck, fuck you whisper to yourself, you quickly run to your room hoping Thor can keep him distracted for a little bit.
You make it. Now what to do. You're mind scrambles to think. Theres a knock at your door, you throw a blanket over you and open it.
"Hey, are you ok? we were supposed to meet, i thought id check in"
"Oh Steve I'm so sorry, i wasn't feeling too great this morning and must of fallen back to sleep, i will get ready now and meet you in 30?"
"No, don't worry about it, you rest up, it can wait, do you need me to get you anything? I can even stay if you want the company?"
"Thats so lovely of you, and very tempting, but i think i will just catch up on some sleep and then i think i will be fine"
"Of course no problem, give me a shout if you do need anything, anything at all, feel better Miss Hunter"
"Thanks Captain"
He walks off with a grin on his face.
You slump on your bed, "wow so glad that worked, and actually even better than i thought, i get to spend the day in bed" you do a little victory dance.
You go and get cleaned up, put on some fresh Pjs, climb into bed and put on the tv. Its been a while since you've had a day like this to yourself, you will cherish it whilst you can.
Another knock at the door.
"Or not"
"Yes" you call
Tony walks in
"I heard you weren't feeling well? Whats happened?, Is there anything i can do?
"Im just tired and worn out thats all, nothing to worry about, a day in bed will do me just fine"
"Thanks for coming to check on me though"
"No problem, when you're feeling better Miss Hunter, come and find me, we have an idea we want you to try out, to help you gain more control with your powers"
"Sounds interesting, i will get some rest then i will do, Thanks Mr Stark"
You turn over and close your eyes

You throw on some comfy clothes, and head down to see what everyones doing for dinner.
Steves in the kitchen.
"you're cooking tonight?" You walk to the fridge for a drink "need a hand"
"I guess it couldn't hurt"
"Where do you want me Captain" you cant help but flash him a cheeky smile.
"Sorry" you laugh
"If thats how you want to play Miss Hunter"
You raise your hand in salute
"Oh Captain, i was wondering, will you be wearing your patriotic boxers for me, for when, you know" you wink
"I cant believe you've just brought that up" "just you wait"
He grabs a towel and spins it around.
You go to one side of the kitchen island and he the other, he whips the towel towards you
You jump and run into the dining room, he's chasing you.
You run into Bucky
"Oh Bucky, help me help me" You hide behind him, Steve isn't far behind
"Move Bucky, this is between me and her" he pretends to be serious
"Bucky don't move" you hold onto his waist
Steve moves to quickly and whips you on the leg, you scream and run off
"Bucky stop him"
Steve blackmails him with no dinner, he raises his hands and lets him past
"Traitor" you shout at Bucky
You're cornered, you have no escape.
"Ok ok, i give up" you raise your hands.
Steve holds out his hand for you to shake, you quickly take the towel and give him a menacing smile. You manage to get him back with a bigger hit. You both call it even and head back to finish dinner.
"So is that a yes to the boxers or...?
You both start laughing.
"Im glad you're feeling better"
"Oh who isn't feeling well" Thor overhears whilst walking in
"Oh Agent Hunter this morning"
"I just didn't get much sleep, feeling better now though" you give him a glance
"Good to hear Miss Hunter, make sure you get plenty of rest tonight, don't want you missing out on tomorrow"
You sit at the table with the team dinner is ready.
"So, who's going to tell me about whats happening tomorrow?
Most of the team smile, Tony begins
"Well it was partly Thors idea, with a few inelegance thrown in from yours truly"
"Of course it was" Loki rolls his eyes
"Go on...."
"Well you need to gain more control over your power, it seems when you're in a state of anger, you loose control, this could be due to it being the only emotion that was stimulated through your time with Hydra, the rest having been suppressed for many years, this is the first one to come back to you, as its the one your body and mind recognise the most. We need to help to to control it better, and thats where Loki comes into it"
You look at him, he doesn't look pleased
"The plan is that Loki will shape shift into the man you recognised from the photos before, that way we can ignite your memory, bring on the anger and help you overcome the overwhelming sense of loss of control, a few of us will be there to help."
"And what if i hurt Loki, what if i cant control it?"
"Well thats a possibility, but."
"But what Mr Stark"
"If you take some if the serum and i mean some, beforehand, we hope this will help you recognise and understand that it isn't the man you remember but Loki, your friend. in order for you to gain full control, you need to open up your other emotions to counteract the anger, we will start small and increase if necessary, this way we can see how much and how little you need to have an effect"
You stay silent, looking at Tony.
He has worked so hard for you, and you haven't really done anything for him.
"Ok, i guess its time then, i can't really put this off much longer i suppose"
Loki screws up his face
"I will do my best Loki, i promise"
Tony smiles at you, he mouths "it will be ok"
You smile back and finish your food.
He catches you before you leave
"Can i walk you back to your room?"
"Of course, everything ok?"
"Sure, just want to make sure you are, i know its a lot to get your head around, but no matter what happens we will all be here for you, helping you through it, you wont ever be alone ok?"
You link his arm and walk towards your room
"I think i have to do this for all of you as well as myself, I can see you all giving me so much especially you Mr Stark, and not receiving anything back, i haven't done anything to deserve It but i am grateful, so i guess i help you and finally try your plan"
"Not at all, You being here has brought so much happiness to everyone, you may not recognise it yet, but you mean so much to us, why do you think we are all so involved, we want to help you overcome this, even Loki"
"You're right i don't, but i guess tomorrow is the first day i might start too"
You go to open your door, Tony grabs your hand and pulls you close to him. Your heart is beating faster
"Miss Hunter, I can't be sure what will happen tomorrow, but i will always be here for you, i wont stop helping you"
You kiss him.
He pushes you up against the wall, his hands on your face kissing you back. There it is, that feeling again. You don't want it to go, you keep kissing him.
You both pull away, and without saying anything you head inside. You rest your head on the back if the door.
"Maybe tomorrow i will start to know what it means"
