"How?"He says
"I don't know, its happened before, they will fade in a moment"
"I've never seen eyes that colour before"
You lay next to each other, he doesn't take his eyes off of you
"You are very beautiful"
"Thank you" you blush slightly
"You called me by my name?" "I haven't been called that for a very long time" you close your eyes, as if trying to remember when it was.
"Im sorry, i was lost in the moment and it came out, i hope i didn't upset you"
"I didn't know how i would feel hearing someone say my name for the first time, I've avoided it for years in fear it may bring bad memories, but..." you shake your head "but i, i feel happy"
He kisses you one more time. You lay on his chest, and fall asleep with a smile on your face.

You wake up, still resting on Steve's chest. You can feel him combing his fingers through your hair. You sit up.
"Morning, how long have you been awake?"
"Not long"
He is starring at you again, with a huge grin on his face.
"You were wrong" he says
You look at him confused
"Your eyes are still blue"
You're shocked, each time this has happened before they faded back, why are they still blue?
You hop off the bed and look in the mirror.
"I don't get it, why haven't they turned back to grey?"
You look back to Steve who is eyeing you up and smiling.
"Calm down you"
You crawl back into bed with him.
"I could stay here all day" he says before kissing you. "But i think we should go and find out whats going on shall we?"
"Yes, lets go and find bruce & Tony"
"i will meet you down there" Steve gets up to leave.
"Steve, lets not tell them too much"
"Of course" he says before closing the door behind him.
You head into your bathroom and turn on the shower, you catch your reflection again, you stare at your eyes.
"Arielle" you whisper to yourself
You walk into the shower, a tear rolls down your cheek but you hadn't noticed.
You and Steve get to the lab at the same time.
"Oh, fancy seeing you here"
He smiles and holds the door open for you
"Shall we?"
You walk in ahead of him
Bruce is working on something across the lab, he sees you walk in.
"Good morning Miss Hunter, i didn't realise you were coming down today?" Everything ok?
"Well, i was wondering if you could help me understand something?"
"Sure" he starts to walk over to you "what is it?"
He looks at you
"Wow"
You smile.
"Ok, well, erm take a seat"
"So last time this happened they returned back to grey quite quickly didnt they Miss Hunter?"
You nod
"So how long have they stayed this colour for this time?" He questions
You glance over to Steve,
"Well... since last night, i expected to wake up and they were back to grey, but as you can see... still blue"
"Well my guess is that the serum is starting to take full effect, but for it to happen so suddenly, it must of been triggered, can you recall anything that may of triggered a positive emotion?
You look to Steve, " erm.."
you both stay silent trying to avoid eye contact with Bruce.
Thats when you hear Tony
"Agent hunter" he comes rushing over "whats happened?"
You turn to face him,
He slowly moves around so he is now facing you, places his hands on your face.
"Thats the colour, i never got to see it long enough the previous times, it always went away too quickly" "they're the colour of the ocean" he holds your gaze.
Bruce interrupts " i was just asking Miss Hunter if she remembers anything that could of triggered such an emotional response"
"I believe that along with the full dose of the serum, she has been overcome with an rush of positive emotion, or a maybe a memory from her past has come back to her, causing that same feeling"
You look into Tony's eyes, you don't feel as happy anymore as you did.
"Well Miss Hunter, do you recall anything that could of happened?" " if we can work out what it was, we can try and replicate it to further develop your positive emotions, heightening them to eventually over stimulate the negative ones'
You glance over to Steve not saying a word.
"Oh Rodgers, i didn't see you there, Babysitting again i see?"
"well actually Tony i was there when it happened"
"well you don't leave her side, so that doesn't surprise me Cap"
Steve tilts his head and gives Tony a look
"Oh" tony says, he looks at you and lets go of your face
"Oh i see, well i think we have our answer" " no need to run any tests"
bruce looks at Tony Confused
"They Slept together Bruce, thats why her eyes changed colour. Must of been pretty incredible, well done Rodgers"
"Tony!?" You get up to follow him
"We don't need to investigate further Miss Hunter, you both can leave" he doesn't look at you, you stay there for a second before turning your back to him and leaving, he looks up and watches you walk away.
