The cabin

You arrive at the cabin
"What is this place?"
Bucky grabs the bags and heads to the door
"Its Tony's he said we could use it, a safe place for you"
"He just cant help himself can he, he isn't even here and he's still making decisions for me"
"Come on H, the man cares about you, he was broken when you left, he's just doing what he can to keep you safe"
"Wow Buck, i didn't realise you were on his side? Are you here to spy on me and report back?"
"Wow you are stubborn, I'm here to help you find your sister and make sure you don't kill yourself in the process,nothing else. Im just saying he cares about you, even i can see that, yes he's fucked up, but everyone does, doesn't mean what he feels isn't true"
You stay silent for a moment.
"He hurt me Buck, i thought i was falling in love with him, now... now i can't even think about him without pain, people that care about you don't make you feel like this"
"You love him?"
"I thought i did, i guess things can change quickly" you shrug your shoulders, walking past him into the cabin.
"So where do we start? Hydra went underground after the attack, we need to find where they went"
"Tony has given us access to F.R.I.D.A.Y, lets see what we have"
Bucky and Loki go through the Intel that Tony has been collating.
You head to find a room. Drop your bag and lay on the bed. Your mind starts processing this mornings events.
"Why did you have to do this Tony" you shake your head, your eyes fill with tears. You shake them away.
"No! He doesn't deserve that" you try and focus all your feelings and efforts on your sister, the image of her in the chair. You look out of the window.
"Wherever you are, i wont stop until i find you"
Bucky knocks on the door.
"Hey, how you feeling?"
"Like someone has stabbed me through the heart.... so i guess fine?"
"Im so angry Buck, I'm trying so hard to control it, but it keeps building up, its hard to focus"
"How can i not know she was alive? Ive been playing house all this time and shes out there, she needs me"
"What if she was there, at the facility? I could of been so close"
You both sit at the end of the bed
"She wasn't, we can be sure of that, we don't think that was their base, just somewhere they went as they knew we would follow. We will find her, but you can't feel guilty about something you didn't know about, try not to blame Tony, he isn't the one thats done this, its Hydra, make sure your anger is pointed at the right people"
"But i would of known about her Buck, he chose not to tell me, why? So he could be the hero? so he could keep me to himself? I just don't understand"
"You should talk to him, probably not today, but you should"
"I have nothing to say to him, lets just find my sister so i can move on with my life"
You both head downstairs.
"anything Loki?"
"Looks like there are a couple of facilities that Tony has been keeping under surveillance, nothing of interest has been found yet"
"Why don't we just go and find out for ourselves?
Loki looks to Bucky
"Thank goodness we are here, we can't just go and ransack each place, we could get killed, all for nothing, we have to be sure first"
"Just as Tony was trying to do"
"Oh come on, not you as well Loki?, can someone please just say he's a dick and leave it at that"
They both nod
"Well we didn't say he wasn't"
You smile
"Thats better"
Hours pass, you fall asleep on the sofa.

At the tower Tony is still up.
"F.R.I.D.A.Y, how is she?"
"They're at the cabin Mr Stark, would you like me to send you a live transmission?"
"No, i wont impose, but can you leave her a message for me?"
"Tell her I'm sorry"
"Of course Mr Stark"
