Time to prepare

You and Tony walk to his Lab.
"You're going to be ok"
You look at him and smile
"I know, i can handle myself"
He rolls his eyes, "you will be, it may take time, its not going to be easy, but you will come out of this better"
"Then i can leave and start a normal life eh?"
Tonys heart skips, he hadn't even thought about what you would do after, but the thought of you leaving, makes him weak. You've been a breath of fresh air to him when he needed it the most, he has a skip in his step again, he looks forward to waking every morning even if he just manages one glimpse of you throughout the day. No, he thinks to himself, she cant leave.
"If thats what you want" he replies
"But you seem to be making a lasting impression on everyone here, i don't know if they will take that news too lightly"
"And what about you Mr Stark, what are your thoughts"
He places his hand on you the top of your arm, tilts his head slightly

You both turn around, Nat & Sam are making their way towards you
"Vision thinks he's found something you should see" nat says whilst looking at Tony's hand. He quickly drops it.
"Sure lets go" Tony walks with Sam
Before you start walking Nat stops you
"What was that? Did we interrupt something?"
You look at her confused
"I have no idea what you are talking about Nat"

She giggles
"Oh, sorry i forgot"
"Forgot what?"
"You're emotionless"

"Don't worry, lets go"

"So what is it?" "Good news or bad"
"Bad I'm afraid" Tony says whilst distracted by his work.
You look around with a questionable look
"Do i get to find out, or shall i start making guesses, because lets be honest, we could be here a while"
"We already know Hydra are planning to attack the city, we don't know when, but we now know they have machines, machines capable of wiping out everything" vision says
"So you need everyone in right? All the man power you can muster?" You eagerly reply
Tony looks at you from behind his screen
"You're not coming"
You go to say something, but realise their isn't much point.
Tony continues "why do you think they're doing this now? They're angry, they've luring you out with any way possible, so thats why you cant join us, we may as well just hand you over and stop all of this now"
"So why don't you?"
Everyone looks to you
"Why protect me, my life doesn't mean more than anyone else's, if i can stop this by going back i will"
"Well thats not going to happen Miss Hunter, and by any means i will make sure it can't, they need stopping, if its not you its someone else, its about time we got rid of them for good"
You hang your head down
"If any of you get hurt, i..."
"Hey! We wont" Nat places her hand on your leg.
"Were the Avengers, its what we are made to
do"
"You don't owe me anything to protect me, 2 weeks ago i was a nobody"
Tony walks over yo you "You're one of us now, we protect our own, and thats the end of this conversation"
"Right, we need to prepare, you all know what you need to do"  everyone else leaves apart from Tony, Bruce, Vision and yourself.
You get up from your chair "Where can i help"
You go through photos after photo, helping them decipher their targets.
