MAN ON THE MOON

"you're political enough but not contrary,
sexual enough but not enough to scare me"

2019

FUCK.

THOSE FOUR LETTERS WERE the exact representation of how (Y/N) felt at that very moment.

It was also the same feeling of when she'd drunk six cups too many of caffeine with Five that one time, only... she hadn't had any coffee at all. Or maybe it was the feeling of fear from dying, like when she watched 'Paranormal Activity' for the first time with Klaus, but instead of creepy ghosts haunting her dreams at night, it was real assassins in kids masks threatening to whack a baseball bat over her head. All strapped together in a tight bundle of emotions ready to make her snap at any moment.

It felt almost dream-like. The situation they were in.

Maybe it was more of a nightmare, than a dream. It wasn't a large number of people who would prefer to be in their position.

"MMPH!"

(Y/N) eyes shot open and she scrambled backwards in surprise, trying to back away from the voice, then realising that she couldn't move. That only made her anxiety worsen.

Suddenly, the memories of everything that had happened flowed back into her mind in an instant. How they ended up in that run-down motel. Along with two assassins who were... reasonably cross.

"MMPH!"

As her mind cleared, so did her vision.

Klaus was sat opposite of her, a random jacket pressed against the side of his face, which was covered in sweat and tears. He was still in his towel, which (Y/N) was surprised how he still hadn't shaken off by accident.

Right, they were in the closet.

Literally. Not uh... nevermind.

Her brother was screaming at the top of his lungs, but the tape over his mouth muffled his cries for help.

Red and Blue hadn't bothered to do more than tape them up and throw them in the small, enclosed space before rushing out the door. It seemed almost as if they were eager to get the job over and done with rather than to plan and execute it with proper precision. They were trained, yes, but they definitely weren't the sharpest tools in the box.

If only (Y/N) could... reach... for the handle...

It wasn't a surprise to her, since they'd been tied up for quite a while now, but her head was starting to hurt from the insides again, especially because of the loud noise of vacuuming buzzing from outside the closet shutters.

Klaus, on the other hand, was focused on trying to gain the attention of the room's housekeeper just a couple of yards away from them. She must've had music plugged in while wearing headphones, or she would've heard him.

"Klaus, breathe. You're in the worst of it now. Just try and stay calm," his fellow ghost buddy tried to calm him. However, it didn't do much to help because he only screamed louder.

Blood pounded in his ears as he rocked his chair back and forth to make any noise possible. His vision started to blur. He didn't know why. It was often this happened, but he usually had the ability to cower and hide in a safer place before the floodgates tore open.
