EXTRA ORDINARY
"purple rain,
purple rain"
2019
"DO YOU SERIOUSLY STILL NOT understand the chain of custody? If you touch it, I can't use it." Patch said, walking up to her ex who was looking at something in his hand, presumably a piece of evidence from the crime scene.
We have a 10-14 at Gimbel Brothers department store.
"Let me save you some time running ballistics." Diego said, dusting his hands off as he stood back upright, "these nine millimetres haven't been made since—"
Shots fired. Repeat, shots fired.
"1963," the detective finished for him. "Odd, I know. Matching casings were seen in the murder scene last night. Ishmael's Towing."
6045 Vanderbilt.
"The driver."
Over.
"I found him hanging from the ceiling." She continued, "I guess he must've known something after all."
"It's a shame no one told you to go talk to him." Diego tried to keep the evident smug look off his face but was, very much, unsuccessful.

"God, please. Un-remember that," the detective groaned in disgust. What was in the past, stayed in the past. Unfortunately, Diego probably wasn't granted with enough brain capacity to understand that.
"Etched into the data-bank, Eudora."
"And we're done," Patch said while getting away from him and back to her work. She would need to move on with another lead to find this killer.
"Yeah, well you go fill out your forms while I go hunt these animals down."
"Oh, I also forgot to ask you," she said, looking back at him for a second. " Could you tell your sister to come and see me? I need to talk to her about something from last night and I'd try phoning her, but I thought it'd be a better idea asking you."
"It's no problem," Diego nodded, calling out to her just before she was about to walk away. "And detective... I do give a shit."
The woman nodded and turned to leave, but one of her colleagues was in her path, stuttering out timidly. "I— I still can't get over the fact that you two used to—"
