EXTRA ORDINARY

"i don't wanna die,
but i don't wanna live like this"

2019

IT WAS THE DAYS FILLED with missions that kept (Y/N)'s mind busy during the day. This day was no different, as everyone was in a hurry to leave the house.

Allison swiftly jogged down the stairs, footsteps but a quick tempo to the shrill ringing of bells and the blaring of sirens. "Coming through! Come on, Luther!"

Their father, Reginald, was taking his time by walking down the main hallway, never missed a chance to lecture the children over something. "How will The Umbrella Academy ever become an effective crime deterrent if we can't even leave the house on time for missions?"

Luther had quickly run up to him and slid close to the wall to avoid walking into their father while on his way to his room, "behind you!"

"Come along, children. Come along!" Impatient, Reginald clapped his hands angrily.

In Allison's room, the girl was panicked, looking through drawers and shelves, slamming the last one shut before yelling out to whoever was around. "I can't find my domino mask!"

"It needed a little bit of TLC after the last mission," Grace, who had appeared just in time, said while holding out Allison's mask.

"Thanks, Mom." Allison nodded a quick word of thanks before rushing out the door.

Grace continued to check up on the others, peering through the doorway to Luther's room. Inside, he was warming up with a few push-ups. "Ready to go?"

"Yeah," Luther looked up, flashing a quick smile and giving her a thumbs up while still keeping his body close to the ground.

She looked back down the hallway and caught sight of Diego, who could be seen yelling while running across the hall and off into another room. "Where are my knives?"

From this wing of the house, an alluring melody coming from a violin could be heard, as the sound of alarms were now wearing off. Grace turned to see Vanya playing the violin in her room, which was much smaller and was practically the size of a closet, compared to the other children's rooms. Grace pushed this obvious fact aside, it not being the time to bring it up, and complimented her playing.

"Sounds beautiful, Vanya."

"Thanks, Mom."

She continued on, catching the sound of Klaus laughing in his room from the next door, where he had set his desk on fire. "Oh! Klaus!"

Grace was quick to put it out with a cloth while the boy continued to jump on his bed. "Thank you, mother."

"Boys will be boys," she muttered, leaving the room in a hurry, as time was running out. "Oh! Ben," she said, almost bumping into the boy who was directly in her path, pointing towards his jacket zipper.

"It— It's stuck!" He said, to which she wriggled the zipper out and properly zipped it up for the boy, stepping aside to let him run by. "Guys, wait for me!"

"Do— Don't—"

The last room, Diego's, was the boy was found standing in front of a mirror. He was already dressed in his uniform but hadn't come out of his room yet. Grace instantly stepped back, out of sight, and quietly listened in on him, hidden by the frame of the door with a look of pity drawn all over her face.
