Part 11

Vanessa: Trina, I love your home town. I'm glad I had time to stop and visit.

Trina: I am so happy that you finally made it. Took you long enough.

Vanessa: Hey, now. I had other duties to tend to before getting here.

Trina: (smiles) Relax. I know that you're a very busy- (whispers) Monster Hunter.

Vanessa: (Laughs) You don't have to whisper Trina. I don't think there's anyone in this city that I need to -you know. (Moves a finger across her neck in a beheading motion).

Trina: You never know what monsters can be lurking around in the shadows.

Vanessa: You are still crazy as always. If there's any creature around- don't you worry. I'll take care of it.

Trina: Okay. Now let me show you around the grand city of Liej.

Vanessa: Lead the way O Great one. (Chuckles).

Klari: (Hisses) She must be in Liej. It's not too far from here.

Orgona: (Sighs) Wow. You're serious about tracking her down.

Klari: Yeah. No one takes my fangs away & gets away with it.

Orgona: (Yells) That's my girl!

Klari: Sshhhh. Keep it down. Ugh. You'll blow our cover.

Orgona: Just let me handle her. You just sit back and relax.

Klari: (Shakes her head) Now's not the moment to strike Ma.

Orgona: Fine. I'll wait- for now.

Night time falls & the Liejians all get ready for bed. Well, not all are in bed....yet.

Klari: Come on. We have to be quick.

Orgona: I already told you that you should let me handle the situation. I got this.

Klari: If you say so. Go ahead. Be my guest. If you're captured I'm not going to come save you though.

Orgona: (Laughs) Have faith in me child. I may be older, but I can still aim & fire.

Klari: (smiles) You seem to be excited. Go do what you do best then.

Orgona: (Hisses) Sounds like a perfect plan. Now make sure you take down some notes.

Trina: I'm off to bed Vanessa. Your bed has already been made. Feel free to head there whenver you're ready.

Vanessa: Thanks T.

Trina: Sweet dreams.

Vanessa walks to the front door, and checks the windows. She makes sure that everything is closed. It looks like all is calm.

This city is too quiet. The Monster Hunter heads to her room. As she is about to lay her head on the pillow, she hears a short hissing sound. Oh no. It sounds too familiar. That could only mean one thing. Klari was out of prison- again.

Vanessa jumps right out of bed and looks out the bedroom window. The street is empty. No sign of any living beings moving around.

But then in the corner of her eye, she spots not one- but two snake~like creatures.

This was going to be an exciting night after all. It was time to set some traps. These two creatures didn't know who they were dealing with. They thought they could hunt down a Hunter? Who's idea was it to follow her? Ah, it must have been Klari's.

Vanessa tiptoed to the office near the living room. There she had a better & clearer view of the two trespassers.

Orgona: I'm going to check the back door. It might not be locked.

Klari: Are you sure?

Orgona: Actually, I am going to knock on the front door.

Klari: What a bold move.

Orgona: Make sure you are keeping watch from here. I'm going to check the back door.

Klari: Okay. Good luck.

Vanessa couldn't believe it. They were going to try and attack late in the night. Wasn't it past their bedtime? Unless they didn't need any sleep at all.

Orgona slithered to the back door. She didn't even have to rattle (/shake) the door. With a slight twist of the door handle- and she managed to get in.

Klari was terrified to move from her spot. She did not want to lose her fangs to this monster hunter for a second time. If her Mom was able to face the Monster Hunter, then she could do it too.

Vanessa waited quietly in the dark office. She hid behind one of the exit doorways that led to the hallway.

Orgona used her night vision to find Vanessa. Klari found the back door still open. And she walked right into the monster hunter's trap.

Vanessa threw a box on the ground. It opened and out popped a blast of gooey rubbery slime. The substance stuck to Orgona's body. Klari tripped over a wire on her way past the living room- that triggered a flame thrower. The flames rose right over Klari's head.

Orgona tried her best to remove the goo from her body. All the attempts she tried failed. And Klari was outraged because she was certain that she had lost some parts of her scalp.

Vanessa dashed to the other side. She left the office and rushed into the living room.

Klari & Orgona had both seen the Monster Hunter ran into the living room. They smiled & thought that they would still be able to catch her.

Vanessa placed a tiny yet powerful knock out gas infront of Klari and Orgona. The two creatures laughed when they saw the tiny gadget. But the second they breathed the gas in, they started seeing many Vanessa's all around them.

Thump- Klari and Orgona fell to the floor.

Trina: (Yawning) Whoa. Why is there goo on the floor and the walls?

Vanessa: Just had to use it to deal with some two crazy creatures.

Trina: (Chuckles) How did I not hear a thing?

Vanessa: You have always slept like you we're in a coma.

Trina: (Smiles) That is very true.

Klari: Were are we?

Orgona: It looks like we've been hanged upside down in a tree.

Klari: (Groans) I know that. I meant in terms of city or town.

Orgona: We are in a forest. This is definitely not near Liej.

Klari: I hate monster hunters.

Orgona: (Moves her tail) It was fun hunting her down. I need to get out of here.

Klari: No kidding. So do I.

Orgona: (Sighs) Next time you ask me to help you do something- make sure the task is easier.

Klari: (Laughs) Of course.
