Part 12

Klari: Listen up Greyon, I need you to do me a favor.

Greyon: What is it Klari?

Klari: Look- there is a certain female monster hunter that I need you to- (coughs)- you know...make it look like she fell off a cliff, or something.

Greyon: Why don't you do your own dirty work?

Klari: I (whispers) tried.

Greyon: You..-tried? (Laughs).

Klari: She is not an easy target.

Greyon: Maybe prison softened you up.

Klari: (Hisses) Ssay that one more time Greyson....i will show you how powerful my fangs still are.

Greyson: Calm down. I was only kidding.

Klari: Well, go do your job. Time is precious.

Trina: Vanessa, do you really have to go?

Vanessa: Sadly, I do. I will see you sometime very soon Trina.

Trina: Be careful out there. There's danger all around you monster hunter.

Vanessa: Do not remind me. (Sighs).

The two friends part ways. Trina walks back into her house, and Vanessa heads towards the rocky point mesa. A wide, hilly, and steep land area.

In a short distance, Greyson blends into the rocky environment and waits for Vanessa to move deeper into the mesa. He thinks that the monster hunter might get lost if she wanders off further & further into the rocky point.

Vanessa stops in her tracks. For some odd reason- she feels like the same pile of rocks have been following her all along her journey through the rocky point. Maybe it was just her mind playing tricks on her.

Greyson had mastered the art of acting like a dead pile of rubble. His breathing had slowed down, and even his body pieces lay flat on the ground like a puddle. He was the best at camouflaging.

Vanessa looked behind her- the same pile of rocks were still on her track. Something was definitely not right. This could have been an assassin coming to end her life. Someone was hired to attack her. Well, let them keep thinking that she has no clue that she's being followed.

The monster hunter kept on walking, and then she started running. Greyson wa snot sure whether he should get back into his monster form, or keep on moving behind her as a pile of rocks.

He lost sight of Vanessa when she made a left turn into one of the rocky hills. Greyson stooped moving and he pulled all his rock pieces back into their monster form. Where was she hiding?

Vanessa waited for quietly in the shadows to attack her foe. Greyson walked into the shady rocky hill, and out of nowhere received a mighty blow to his head. He fell down and turned on his right side. Vanessa quickly darted back into the shadows. Greyson shook off the red sand off his body, and looked around him.

Greyson: Stop this ridiculous game Monster hunter.

Vanessa: (smiles) From your first action I would have thought that you were a great skilled tracker, but now- (Throws a rock creature disassembler)...I really doubt that.

Greyson: I am a great skilled tr-....

Before Greyson could finish his sentence, there was a loud blast. His body burst into a million pieces. Vanessa rushed towards his head piece and held it n her hands.

Greyson: Put me down.

Vanessa: So, who sent you on this deathly task?

Greyson: I am not going to tell you. I can't remember.

Vanessa: Oh- you can't. Huh, okay.

She reaches for a rock crusher from her weapons batchel.

Greyson: (Cries) No! Please, do not mill my head- or body.

Vanessa: Well, you will be set free as long as you tell me who reqested that you try to crush me.

Klari: Greyson, did you manage to carry out my task?

Greyson: I almost lost my head! The mosnter hunter has a message for you.

Klari: You failed- I can not believe this Grey.

Greyson: She told me to tell you that if you do not watch your steps- your head might be in her hands next.

Klari: (Gulps) I am not afraid of that girl.

Greyson: I love having my entire body- head and all. Keep me out of your crazy plans. (Stands up and walks away).

Klari leans back in her seat in the bistro. She was not sure how long she would continue trying to bring an end to Vanessa-the Monster hunter.
