~~~I love her half to death, but she's killing me~~~
Hiro's head jerked up from the work on his desk as he heard a sharp knock on his apartment door. He glanced at a nearby clock. Was it eight o' clock already? It seemed like ten minutes ago that he'd sat down at noon to work on rebuilding another Baymax.
"Who is it?" He called out, stretching and walking tiredly to the door. As he opened it, he couldn't help but smile.
(Y/N)'s smile always made him feel better.
"Hey Hiro, what's up?" She asked. Hiro shrugged. He didn't notice that she looked like she was expecting something to happen.
"Not much. Just working," he replied, stepping aside so she could come in.
"Geez, you work so much!" She exclaimed, hanging up her coat gingerly. "You must be so stressed."
Hiro nodded solemnly, plopping onto the small couch in his living room. Since that strange note that had been left in his lab a week ago, he couldn't sleep. Every time he tried, he just couldn't get over one simple statement.
His brother was alive.
Angry, but alive.
(Y/N) sighed. "Hiro, you really shouldn't push yourself so hard," she said, slipping in beside Hiro on the couch. "Here, turn around."
"W-what?!" Hiro spluttered, jarred from his thoughts. (Y/N) rolled her eyes.
"I'm just going to give you a massage. It helps with stress," she explained. "A-and...you've gotta take off your shirt." she said, cheeks flushed red. Hiro nodded and turned so his back was facing her, then slipped his red t-shirt off and over his head.
"Now just relax," (Y/N) said soothingly, working her hands over the knots in her boyfriend's back and shoulders. His skin was unblemished and beautiful--something, she realized sadly, she could never have again--and she ran her knuckle gently down the vertebrae of his spine. Hiro shivered.
"So, Hiro," she murmured softly into his ear, "I bet you've been working so hard you don't know what today is, do you?"
Hiro didn't trust himself to speak, and opted for a shake of his head. (Y/N) sighed, and whispered in his ear again.
"Today's Valentine's Day."
Instantly, Hiro's hands flew to his mouth. "Shit, I forgot!" He said, embarrassed. (Y/N) laughed.
"It's okay, as long as--" she nibbled a slightly dark spot on Hiro's neck, right where his shoulders and neck intersected--exactly where his sweet spot was. A stifled moan escaped Hiro's lips. "--I can do that," she said, smirking and looking up at him suggestively.
Hiro saw that a a challenge, eyes narrowing and eyebrows furrowing.
He was always up for a challenge.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Wow," (Y/N) breathed, trying to catch her breath. "T-that was--"
"--awesome," Hiro finished for her. He shifted around and pulled her close, not wanting her intoxicating smell and wonderful warmth to leave him.
"Yeah," she whispered, giving him a kiss on the cheek. For the first time in a long time, they were truly happy.
