WARNING: The following chapter is really, really dark. Reader discretion advised. If you're not comfortable with blood or open wounds, you might need to find another story, hun.
Or idk I'm in a weird mood today.
~~~I'll leave a trail of roses that lead back home~~~
Hiro wandered back to where (Y/N) was waiting. When all he saw was a vacant park bench, his heartbeat picked up. When he saw a half eaten bag of roasted almonds next to...wait, was that her phone?! Oh god. Ohhhh god. She never went anywhere without her phone. Hiro had once planted a tracking chip in her helmet, but that was long gone by now.
As he got closer, he could tell that the almonds smelled a little...off. Almost as if...
No, this couldn't be happening. Hiro did not just let his girlfriend get abducted by some creep.
This is about the point where Hiro started to flip. his. shit.
"(Y/N)?!" Hiro yelled, running around the Faire. Hopefully, he'd find her somewhere in this mess.
Hope was his only ally right now.
Huffing and out of breath, Hiro stopped running in a darker corner of the Tech Faire. He was near a large building, one that looked like it sold concessions year-round. The front was closed down--after all, it was quite late--and the back door cast a yellow light down behind the building, silhouetting two figures.
'They look feminine,' Hiro thought. One was much closer to the ground than the other, and the one standing was grunting in exertion. Was the second one...dragging the other?
Just as Hiro was about to go over to help, the second person sat down the first, clapped their hands together, and walked back inside, shutting and locking the door.
Hiro cautiously walked over to the person who was being dragged. He had heard no movement, so he assumed they were probably unconscious. Stupid teenagers getting drunk an passing out.
But then he saw a swath of (h/c) hair, and a pair of delicate lips that he knew from memory.
"(Y/N)?!" Hiro exclaimed, bounding over to her. He held his ear against her chest and heard a steady heartbeat, thank god.
His gaze hardened as he glanced at the building. Whoever had done this was in there.
He had to give justice.
Making a mental note to future Hiro to make a form-fitting suit of armor that he could wear under regular clothes, Hiro walked towards the door. He picked the lock after a few minutes--he was still new at that--and walked inside.
But there was nobody there.
No matter were he searched--and believe me, he searched everywhere--the culprit was nowhere to be found. There were no other doors, and the front window made too much noise to make a good escape.
He had lost them.
"H-Hiro..."
He gasped, running back out to (Y/N), who was trying to sit up. Hiro shushed her and laid her back down.
"Take it easy, (Y/N). You just woke up," Hiro said reassuringly. "Don't worry, I'm here now," he said quickly when he saw tears build up in her eyes.
Funny. Hiro never saw (Y/N) cry unless it was seriously serious.
But when Hiro pulled her into a hug, she struggled against him.
"Let me go! Don't...don't do that!" She exclaimed, fear in her eyes as she gazed up at Hiro. The pit in his stomach wouldn't go away.
"(Y/N)--"
"Hiro, you need to get away from me! J-Just leave me alone for a while," (Y/N) said, moving quickly away from him.
"(Y/N), just calm down--"
"No, Hiro, you d-don't know...they could be watching...they are watching," she kept stammering on, staring into a fixed point in the distance with hollow eyes. Suddenly, Hiro noticed a metallic smell in the air.
"(Y/N), calm down. You're safe as long as I'm here. We need to get you to Baymax," Hiro said firmly, picking her up bridal style. This time, she complied, but Hiro felt a warm, wet substance on the arm he was using to support your back.
"What the--" Hiro started, but was cut off by his own gag. Blood--(Y/N)'s blood--soaked his arm red. "Shit. BAYMAX!" Hiro yelled, running to where he knew he could get help.
The San Fransokyo Institute of Technology.
~~~So come back home~~~
Hiro carried you as fast as he could to his lab, where Baymax would be deployed and ready to help. He burst into the lab, startling the other students working there.
"Oh my gosh! Is (Y/N) okay?" Honey Lemon asked. Gogo used her maglev skate-thingies to grab a stretcher from the medical side of the school, while Fred grabbed towels and Wasabi helped Hiro carry (Y/N).
"Hello, I am Baymax--"
"Baymax, we don't have time for that," Hiro practically yelled. "Hurry up and scan her!"
"I will scan you now," Baymax said calmly. After a second, he was done
"There is severe damage to the dermis and epidermis. Multiple slashes, most likely inflicted with a sharp object such as a knife, have been inflicted upon the patient's back." Honey Lemon gasped and Gogo looked like she was about to break down.
"Suggested treatment: disinfect the area, then stitch it together to boost the healing process. The incident will most likely leave scars. I recommend Wasabi," Baymax concluded.
"Thanks, but we're not done yet," Hiro said, turning to Wasabi. "And since when are you a surgeon?"
"Everyone has their hobbies," Wasabi answered, shrugging. "I do the job well though. Let me get my kit."
As Wasabi prepared to stitch (Y/N) up, Baymax was giving instructions to the others. After they were gone, Baymax turned back to Hiro.
"You will need to undress her," Baymax said. Hiro flushed bright red.
"W-What?!"
"As I am aware, surgery is not possible through thick layers of clothing. Please take off her shirt and position her wound-up on the stretcher."
Nervously but carefully, Hiro slipped off your t-shirt. If the situation was different, he might've enjoyed it, but not now.
What he saw next would never leave his mind as long as he lived.
Slashed into the skin of the love of his life were the letters:
M-I-N-E
( •-•)><(•-• )
Flashback:
After her grandmother passed, (Y/N) traveled to her next destination after a tip from an old friend.
Seattle, Washington was the dreariest place she had ever been.
Oh well. At least the coffee was great.
I know nothing about Seattle lol
So yeah. Chapter~~
How do you guys like this creep of a villain over here?
Also, I changed up the last two chapters a bit. Everything will make a LOT more sense if you go and read--the previous chapter especially--it again.
Sorry for not being consistent with my updates! Some nights I'm just too tired to write or I get distracted.
