~~~She'll pick a fight for no good reason, she knows I'll never leave~~~
BRIIIING!
"Good lord, turn it off," (Y/N) complained, snuggiling her face into the soft pillow beneath her head.
Hiro grumbled from beside her, pulling his arm away from where he was holding her around the waist to shut off that damn alarm.
"There, I got it," Hiro said in a groggy voice, not creating any hints that he was gonna get up out of bed until at least noon.
Then they heard it.
The pounding of small feet on the hardwood and the slow creak of an opening door.
And the high-pitched giggle of a little girl jumping on top of her father to wake him up.
"OOF!" Hiro exclaimed as their five-year-old daughter landed on his chest, making (Y/N) giggle.
"Daddy! Mommy! Wake up!" she said playfully, crawling over to (Y/N).
"But it's so earlyyy," (Y/N) drawled tiredly.
"But the sky's awake, so I'm awake!" She said urgently. "And I need someone to help me with my Coco Puffs."
"Alright honey, I'll help you," (Y/N) said, sitting up and stretching. When she got finished brushing her teeth and other morning stuff, she walked back into her bedroom and found her daughter and her husband sound asleep. Again.
"Some things never change," (Y/N) chuckled. She ruffled Hiro's hair and kissed her daughter's forehead, then walked down to the kitchen.
After much muffled swearing and maybe a small kitchen fire, (Y/N) placed three plates of pancakes onto the table.
"Hiro! Dakota! Get your lazy butts down here, I made pancakes!" She called out loudly. A thunderstorm of footsteps ensued, ending with two eager faces in the doorway to the kitchen.
"Thanks, mommy!" Dakota said, grinning brightly as she ate her breakfast.
"You are way too good to me, (Y/N)," Hiro mumbled, mouth full of pancake.
(Y/N) smiled as she carried her plate over to the dishwasher.
It had been fourteen years since she had met Hiro, and nine since she had been married to him.
Yeah, things were going pretty well.
~~~I love her half to death, but she's killing me~~~
