~~~I've got on that shirt she hates, I just know that face she'll make~~~
And so, the pair began patching up their relationship. (Y/N) would bring her online college classes with her to the Lucky Cat Café, and Hiro would join her between classes as he went back to college for his Master's degree. Of course, the two had to confirm time and time again that they were not, in fact, a couple to many people.
"Geez, why won't all these people leave us alone?!" (Y/N) exclaimed as another curious old woman walked away after talking to them. "It's not like if we're dating or not is any of their business."
Hiro chewed on his lip for a moment as she focused back onto her laptop screen. After a few minutes, she looked up, concerned.
"Hiro, is there something wrong?" She asked. "I usually have to tell you to be quiet so I can finish my homework." She then noticed how he was chewing on his soft, totally-not-kissable lips.
He only did that when he was really, really nervous.
"It's just..." Hiro took a deep breath, and she shut the top of her laptop.
"Yeah?" she asked curiously.
"Well, it's just that I've realized after hanging out with you again for these past few weeks...um, that I think we could be...more?" He said, pausing in confusion and trying to work out what to say next. (Y/N) stared at him dumbfounded for a second.
Then she burst out into hysterical laughter.
"You seriously only realized that now? Good god, you're such a dork!" She giggled. When she noticed that Hiro looked vaguely hurt, she stopped laughing, but kept her smile.
"Hiro, I would love to be more than friends with you," (Y/N) said. Hiro blinked a few times in disbelief. For some reason, he was terrified that she would reject him; now, there was nothing to be scared of.
"Does that mean I can do this now?" Hiro asked mischievously. (Y/N) was thoroughly confused until a pair of soft lips landed a little awkwardly on hers.
She felt her eyes flutter closed, insides feeling like melted butter. Hiro hummed in approval, wrapping his arm around herr nearby waist and pulling you closer.
"Alright kids, that's enough!" She heard a voice say, equally stern and teasing. Hiro and (Y/N) jumped apart like they he just been electrocuted.
Aunt Cass wandered into (Y/N)'s field of vision. "If you're gonna do that stuff, you need to either leave the shop and go upstairs or outside."
Blushing furiously, (Y/N) gathered her supplies and followed Hiro into his third-story room.
However, a deeper darkness, wrapped in long forgotten memories, sat at the table next to the now-happy couple. Oh nobody would notice her; why should they? Dark clothes and a piercing gaze kept unwanted visitors away as they focused their gaze on (Y/N).
"Soon....very soon."
Flashback:
"Hey (Y/N), remember me?" A vaguely familiar voice called out. (Y/N) turned around and squinted at the stranger, who was wearing a skirt in the humid outdoor weather.
"Uh, I'm sorry. I don't know you," (Y/N) said, terribly confused. After a minute, she turned and went on her way, guessing that someone else of the same name was being called.
"Don't worry, I'm sure you'll remember my name in a little while," the girl said, watching after the retreating back of (Y/N).
Oh my god I am so tired. .-.
I literally fell asleep during this chapter.
On the bright side, my ocarina arrived!!! I can play Ballad of the Goddess and Follow Fi.
