"(Y/N), are you ALRIGHT?"
I flinched at the painfully familiar male voice searing in the depths of my mind and swiftly closed my mouth to hide the shock of seeing Alucard in front, right after the series of vomit-inducing memory flashbacks that shot my head like sharp arrows.
Clearing my throat was the first thing I thought I should be doing, while my brain was thinking ten times faster for a plan that could get me out of here.
"I-I'm sorry, where were we?"
"Home." He simply replied and supported my arms back up. "Does this happen a lot?"
"No, no, I'm fine, just a bit tired I guess." I tried my best to sound convincing because the least I would want if for him to realize I'm already back on my feet and ready to report him to the authorities for Kidnappįng, Attempted Murdęr, Attempted Rapę, and so on and so forth.
"I may have to cancel our plan and bring you to the hospital again—"
"No!" I exclaimed, causing him to frown. "I mean... I wanted to spend the rest of the night with you." My cheeks have flared up in embarrassment. I definitely sound desperate but this is the only way.
"Are you sure?" He sounded worried and he confirmed it by cupping my jaws, before he checked my body temperature through my forehead using his lips and just like that, my body's nerves tensed like a retracting coil.
"There's no fever." He sighed and his relieved smile had taken me aback.
I highly doubt he actually cared. For sure he only wanted to trick me to bed.
"There'll be a change of plans." Alucard said as he held my left hand, "I'll just take you to a massage parlor."
"But it's your birthday, you should be the one enjoying this moment. Let's have fun and drink the night out." I smiled with enthusiasm and hoped he'd concede because mixing within a drunk crowd is my easiest way out.
If he ends up taking me out, only to shut me back into some building I can't easily escape from, then there's no point in going. I'd rather wait for the daylight and try my luck then than waste the opportunity tonight.

Fortunately, he brought me to a club, hours away down the mountain. It wasn't as big as I've expected but the narrow space is packed nonetheless.
"Hey Miss Right," one guy with cool beard and hat pulled me into his circle of male friends and placed his exposed muscular and heavy arm over my left shoulder. "I had no idea I'd find you in here." He whispered and I swear, bolts of disgust traveled through the length of my spine.
I bit my lower lip and immediately pushed him away before Alucard sees us. Anything more intense will only catch his attention, including my voice. The last thing I'd want is for that lying jerk to guard me like a dog. I can't believe Lady Luck was indeed on my side, because Alucard was busy dealing with the two receptionists that were trying to get his attention at all costs.
From seduction to free pass—whatever that means—showed me a window of opportunity to scram faster than I thought. I took advantage of the dj calling everyone's attention for a new mix he's about to drop, and just like that, people began feeling the slow jam and sway their bodies sensually.
The blaring music that came right at the middle, like the trap beats I usually hear from the popular songs on the radio, nearly gave me a heart attack, because it caused the checkered vinyl floor where I stood to shake like there was an ongoing earthquake.
"Hey sweetie, I have something that could help you out." Another guy with long, brown hair in a ponytail blocked my path towards the back door. He looked sober and approachable so I went on with my dramatic voice asking for a favor.
"Oh really?" I whispered as softly as possible and requested a free ride if he has a car. "I badly needed to get onto the last train because there's an emergency." I pleaded with puppy eyes and grab ahold of his black jersey's sleeves so that it'll be impossible for him to run away. "Please, I'll..." I looked around to find something to pay him in advance since I've got no money to spend on anything. Then I recalled I am literally carrying a very expensive thing that no one will be able to resist.
"...I'll give you my ring if you buy me a train ticket to the farthest city."
