Reader Pov

"Raine!" I choked on her name because of extreme nervousness if she caught us in act. Fortunately, due to her cheating boyfriend's broad back and convenient angle, my ass is saved for the time being.

"(Y/N)," my best friend called, fast-approaching in a very worried expression. "I heard you were brought here unconscious. So I went here as soon as I managed to get a cab."

"I'm... alright." I forced a smile to convince her that I'm fine. However, I'm still in the process of explaining why his boyfriend, out of all people is holding my hand and waist in a hospital bedroom, at this time of the day. "I-I tried to stand yet my legs were numb."

"Alucard babe you're so nice to have brought her here yourself." She hugged her from behind, making it super awkward for us to be seen by a head nurse.

"Good day Dr. Tepes, the governor's wife has requested for your presence and she's waiting in your office."

"Damn it's too early for that bįtch to appear again." Raine murmured and puffed an exasperated sigh. "Be careful babe because that cougar is into you and she has no shame of showing it in front of people."

Alucard only nodded and let go of me, as soon as Raine freed him like a domino effect. "How do you feel (Y/N)?"

"I'm fine. I just need a day of rest." I assured her as I crawled on the bed, back to my sleeping position.

"Alright, I'm gonna leave now but I'll be back tomorrow to fetch you because Alucard has offered us a place to stay in his mansion and promised to help with our financial situation." Raine giggled as she told me the great news. "I can't wait to live with him and take our relationship into the next level."

"Uh... I think I should stay in the shop. Somebody needs to watch over the house." I refused and hoped she'd cut me loose. Living with her boyfriend is the most dangerous thing and I won't let that happen. I still have to figure out how to tell her that he's not the man she thought he is and if there's a way to save her from him.

"Silly. You think I'd live like a princess while you rot out there?" Raine slumped on the left side of my bed and flicked the tip of my nose, "not happening so whether you like it or not, you're going to stay with me at the mansion. Besides, there are so many rooms to choose from. You can literally check them all. For sure no one will bat an eye because Alucard told his butler to keep his nose out of my business."

Reader Pov

"Wow..." I muttered and almost drooled for staring in awe at the all brick, five story house that's nearly as wide as the city's largest train station and the grassy garden looked like the national park. I couldn't even believe there was a house like this at the outskirts of the capital because the tall trees surrounding the property are keeping it out of our sight.

"As of now, the mansion only had a few servants but once Alucard and I get married and have children, this place will feel alive." She declared and connected our fingers. "Of course if you found your perfect half, you're welcome to live with us."

I forced a chuckle after clearing my throat of that built up guilt. Her adorable plans sent a pang in my heart because she genuinely cares for my well being, whilst I unintentionally stab her in the back for getting intimate with her boyfriend—and in her own house. It's technically forced, however, I'm sure no one's going to believe that shįt if the guy was hot and rich.

"Come, I'll show you the way to your new bedroom."

I reluctantly followed her footsteps as we entered the mini castle in modern era. The height of the intricately detailed ceilings—as in a vast painting of some historic war at the lounge gave my nape cramps.

The built-in yellow spotlights encircling the infinite shape of the painting's boundaries emphasized it's existence more, than those three curved crimson leather sofas underneath it.

Two grand stainless steel staircases wrapped with carpets with the same shade of red at the corners boast colossal pieces of swirling chandeliers, full of expensive crystals that could attract any gem lover or robber.

"Oh hey babe I thought you had to perform a ten-hour surgery today?" Raine greeted Alucard with a passionate kiss. It was hard to watch so I quickly averted my gaze to the opposite direction and pretended I'm amazed at the plain white, marble floor.

"I figured it's easier to just kįll the patient so that I can arrive here as fast as I can." Alucard's response made me turn my head back at him.

"You're so funny babe," Raine smiled and snaked her arm around his waist. "I appreciate you coming home to welcome my sister."

"Of course. I wouldn't miss it for anything."
