Reader Pov

I looked at my shivering palms and questioned my existence because the amount of harassment I've experienced this whole time was just too ridiculous to happen in real life and yet I'm suffering from them.

I wanted to shout my frustration out but I'm afraid those people will assume it's a form of battlecry and blow me up to pieces from the crime I haven't even done on purpose. It's just so annoying that I possess a destructive ability and I couldn't control or even know anything about it.

I just dropped a deep sigh when the trailer suddenly rose up. My stomach churned and I have no way to relieve myself due to my overall restrictions.

Lady Luck showed compassion when someone stripped the door open. However, it was Alucard. His golden hair being played upon by the gentle wind and illuminated by the harsh rays of the sun looked angelic but I refused to fall into the trap.

"Are you alright?" He casually asked. I purposely didn't answer because this wasn't I expect to happen. In return, he instantly scooped me out without my consent and jumped towards the cliff on the left.

The explosion shook the ground and the rush of wind slammed into my face when I watched the scene behind us. Alucard kept me safe in his strong arms but the destruction it caused has definitely wiped half of the population of the wild animals living in that forest.

"This doesn't change a thing." I immediately declared before he assumes anything. I can't even believe that he survived the block of ice I accidentally conjured out of nowhere.

"I know." He calmly replied and let me down on my feet, once he found a sturdy side of the road. "I went overboard and I'm sorry. I've experienced a lot of things the last time I was awake. Terrible things that made me change my natural self in this generation."

I was speechless because of him apologizing as soon as he has been called out is quite the least I expected.

"I... see." I sighed softly. "Forgiving is much easier than forgetting so we can only start on a clean slate if you can leave me alone."

"I can't do that." It was my turn to frown at him at his response. "Your life is in danger and it's worse than I thought."

"I agree."

"I know it is difficult for you to understand that I didn't plan to hurt you physically and emotionally, however, I am saying this now." He looks so done and yet his facial reactions are still as calm as they can be, apart from his thick brows frowning. "Everything you have seen thus far can never par with the atrocities you may face in the future."

"What do you mean?"

It's hard to believe anything he says anymore. I guess this happened when the small percentage of trust I have for him has been destroyed completely and several times at that.

"Many people will want to capture and use you for their own interest."

"Tell me something I don't already know." I spoke sarcastically since he's on the top of the list if that's the case.

"My father," he paused for a moment and stared at me with intensity. "I've heard he's being brought to life."

"Well good for you. Might as well prepare for your reunion than waste time on me." I interrupted Alucard and then walked away because I'm almost certain he'll say I'm going to be that person's target for whatever reason.

"This isn't a laughing matter (Y/N). First, he will need a powerful witch to get resurrected." He eventually caught my arm and forced me to stop moving. "Does that not ring a bell?"

"Does that not ring a bell?"
