"Hi Miss beautiful."

I got startled at the sudden approach I almost lost my grip on the small, black marble vase of red roses I was carrying towards a more secured corner, across the main glass window. Good thing it's shape had a non-slip lip and wider neck so I was lucky to grab ahold of those in time.

"Sorry, did I didn't mean to surprise you. I just saw you outside while I was walking to my parking lot and decided to invite myself in."

"I-it's fine." I stuttered on assuring a slim and petite stranger wearing some fancy silver suits and sporting a blond, shoulder-length wavy hair. "How may I help you Mister?" I asked after securing the expensive vase into it's own steel rack.

"I'm interested on you and I want you to work in my club. I pay double in comparison to my rivals and I treat my people the respect they deserve as long as they keep their end of the bargain." The guy smiled widely and added, "... how much do these flowers cost and do you accept credit cards?"

I was in awe at first. How lucky am I to be offered something extravagant as well as shady in all aspects but the charm of money on a broke like me is as strong as a magnet being attracted to a steel nearby.

It's been a long and slow day today but at least I managed to sell two big pots of tulips to a nice lady who lives in the neighborhood. I'm not sure if I can keep my job a little while longer but if worse comes to worst, I have no other choice other than leave and find another place to stay.

"Yes we do," I cleared my throat and voiced out the question lingering in my mind. "... you ain't gonna return the flowers when I refuse your generous offer aren't you?"

"Of course not but I'm hoping you'd consider." He stared at me with intensity and it made me feel even more confused on which to choose. Should I stay or go?

"Pardon me but I didn't get your name?" I tried to stall while contemplating if I'd take the bait since this is a moment the owner and I have been waiting for.

"Here's my calling card." He smiled like a commercial model of a toothpaste on tv then handed me a white card with golden letters imprinted on them instead of answering a simple question. "The number's at the back. Please give me a call once you decide to come."

"Wait, what am I actually signing up for?" I frowned at the phrase above his name and alternately looked at him and his card in confusion.

"Stripper."

I choked at my own saliva upon hearing that. Even though I have knowledge in dancing because of my ever adventurous best friend, I never really danced provocatively on purpose. Those experiences were more of for fun only.

"I'm not really sure..." if I can strip in front of random people. I mentally screamed at the image of strangers coming at me for seducing them. "I'm—"

"(Y/N)?" A familiar low tone coming from the two-door entrance somehow helped me calm down. "Is everything alright?"

"Excuse me," I apologized to the guy and headed towards the raven-haired man I met yesterday, "... good afternoon Mr. Genya, how may I help you?" I greeted and pressed the outdoor yellow lights' located near the sliding doors' switch off.

"I'd like to buy a bouquet of white roses for my mother." He simply said but mysteriously, his gaze sent a meaningful message like he knows I'm in a tight situation right now.

"I hate to break it to you but everything is already sold out." The stranger interrupted my response and spoke in douchery.

"I made a reservation a week earlier. Have you?"

"Um... Forgive me Mister I forgot he did, I'll prepare it right now. Please make yourselves comfortable on the couch over there."

"No need. I have to go now but here's the check as promised. Just have them delivered to my club tonight before eight and hopefully you've made up your mind by then."

I'm still in shock that he left me with a blank check so I followed him to the door, however, I couldn't bring myself to return the piece of paper. If only the owner wasn't at the farm to check on the flowers we will be picking up next month, it would've been easier to decide which is a better choice.

"What was that all about?" Mr. Genya's curious tone derailed my train of thoughts. I turned around and nearly bumped my face on his broad chest. The smell of light musk on him temporarily caught my attention before I finally get to answer his question.

"He..." I paused and asked myself if it's better of kept as a secret since I don't even know him personally. "He bought everything." I smiled nervously and rummaged my apron's side pocket to call the shop's delivery boy. I rushed to the counter to get a pad and pen, then started scribbling the prices while requesting for assistance and the teenager agreed to come as soon as possible.

"At what cost?" He approached my left side with a bit of a scary vibe even though he doesn't look mad. "What did he mean about you making up your mind?"

I got cornered so I had no option but tell him about the offer. All of a sudden he grabbed my shoulders to face him directly and warned me about what I'm planning on signing up.

"He could be a scammer for all we know. I suggest we check his method of payment first and foremost." He sighed deeply and called someone on his mobile phone.

I waited patiently until he broke the news of the guy being a legit businessman although most of his properties were shady.

"I know you're in a pinch right now because of the land issues but I hope you aren't considering this as your escape plan."

"I know." I dragged myself to the couch and plopped my bottom on it. "I just... it's very tempting."

"You don't have to do this. If you need money just ask. I can lend you a certain amount that you are free to pay by monthly installment and without interest."

"Are you serious?" I tried to tone down my excitement because it's embarrassing, "we only met... yesterday."

"Nonsense. I usually do this to anyone who needs help around in the neighborhood."

"Oh." I felt dejected hearing that for some reason but at least one problem solved for the meantime. "Thank you. I promise we'll pay on time if possible."

"Don't mention it." He only gave me an understanding look and helped on counting the pots with the same price. "Wait, I haven't seen the old lady around. Are you alone tonight?"

A/N:

I apologize for the wait and I hope you'll enjoy. Thank you for your understanding.^^
