A/N:

I apologize for the late update. My plan on the flow of the plot won't connect to what I laid on the last chapter and it gave me a writer's block. I didn't want to force it like the other book where I messed up so I tried to take a break from it.

"Um... yeah, she's kind of preoccupied." I sighed deeply. I'm still worried on how are we even going to pay this guy back if the products won't arrive on time for the wedding season.

"So... does that mean you're free to eat dinner with me?" He smiled and his pleading gaze gave me no other choice but to say yes. The least I could do for him and because it's bad luck to refuse free meals. My best friend's quote.

"Of course." I agreed and he helped me roll the store's security shutter down, after taking his dark suit jacket off, giving me a glimpse of his well-toned upper arms and tight waist.

The yellowish lighting atop him showered his thin, white collared shirt with it's sensual illumination, making the bumps and curves more obvious to the eyes against the purplish red dusk skies.

"Thank you." I smiled and lead him at the backdoor to invite him for a cup of tea upstairs. "I'll just get changed. Please make yourself comfortable."

He only nodded and sat on the two seater cream couch. I jogged straight to my bedroom on the left to choose between my go to casual clothes and the only semi-formal set I own, the one I bought to apply for daytime jobs when I first landed on this city.

I would've been long finished if I wasn't too anxious to have a date without getting a quick shower because I smell like soil. The thing is the bathroom was located across my room and the narrow hallway is completely visible from the couch where my visitor was sitting.

So I had to bring my change of clothes in a rush, catching a glimpse of Mr. Genya looking at me intently while sipping his tea. I almost choked at his reflection on the dimming glass window.

"A-Alucard

"A-Alucard..." I gasped but when I get a good look the second time around, it disappeared.

"Is something the matter?" Mr. Genya asked curiously as he followed my line of vision.

"No!" I yelled in surprise but soon cleared my throat to compose myself. "Nothing, I mean." I then let out a nervous smile before getting into the bathroom and took the fastest shower I possibly could. Afterwards, I wrapped my usual routine to a two-minute blower while brushing my teeth to stop wasting any more time. "Sorry to have kept you waiting."

"No worries. It's worth it." Mr. Genya raised his hand to welcome mine into his strong arms and captivating manly scent. It made my heart flutter but when our eyes met, my cheeks automatically heated up, I bet there's no need to put makeup to add blush on them.

I thought I finally found a man I could trust. The unexplainable nervousness I feel next to him even though he's like a person living in the middle ages because of his rare chivalry.

Being pampered by him was like a dream. A dream that never even crossed my mind since I'm contented to be alone in life in fear of ending up leaving my future children because of an accident like my parents did.

And it really broke my heart to find out everything was a make-believe bullshįt when we passed by the restaurant at the first floor and instead, he brought me to a room at the fifth floor of a five-star hotel.

"Um... may I know what are we doing here?" I asked and refused to open nor enter the last room in disappointment.

"It's a surprise." He simply said and in a serious tone.

"Is this what you preferred as payment?"

We had a staring contest for a minute. The tension grew as time goes by and I didn't expect him to shatter the heavy atmosphere between us by suppressing a laugh.

"Of course not. Why don't you open the door to see for yourself?"
