His quick reflexes, even after getting kicked down with so much force, kicked in immediately. He rolled away from the two of you, regaining his composure.

If Stain was a normal human, that kick would have been enough. But he wouldn't have been this famous if he couldn't take more than one hit.

Blood dripped down from the cuts on your arm and hands to your fingertips but you didn't care. The fight was still going, and you couldn't tell if the victims were in a safe location yet. You can't take your eyes off the villain, not now.

Midoriya stood next to you in the same defensive position, waiting for the next move from either Stain or you.

"That's new," Stain hissed, grabbing another weapon, this time a knife, to pair with his single sword that he was able to keep in his grip. "Quirk canceling in some way? Or quirk immunity?"

He didn't wait for an answer, not that you would have given you one. Instead he rushed forward again, aiming for Midoriya. A figure of white interrupted the path first before you or Midoriya could react.

Iida was back, seemingly renewed with a new resolve. His kick knocked Stain off course, but he still got up like the madman he was. Todoroki appeared next to you, forming ice to block the next attack.

"For wrapping all of you up in something that you have nothing to do with," Iida panted. "I truly apologize."

"Again with that?" Midoriya's voice was shaky, and you weren't sure if it was from the adrenaline at the moment or his disbelief at Iida.

"We chose to be here." You threw him a grin. "You're a good student, Iida. Don't let this cloud your mind."

"No! I can't let any more blood spill!"

He really was a good student. Too good, you knew. Carrying all this weight on his shoulders.

"A man's true character doesn't change so easily," Stain hissed. "You are nothing more than a fake who prioritizes his own selfish desires!"

This sounded familiar. Stain stared down at all of you, insanity clear in his eyes, yet so full of his own sense of logic and reasoning in his words.

"You are the cancer of society, warping the word 'hero'," Stain continued. "And someone needs to correct that."

"That's just fundamentalism, and anachronistic to boot," Todoroki reassured Iida. "Don't pay any heed to him."

"No. It's just as he said. I'm not qualified to bear the name of a hero." You saw his fists clenched and was about to console him before he continued. "Nevertheless, I can't afford to fold here. For if I were to fold... then Ingenium would die."

Stain's eyes and voice were showing more craziness by the second and you tensed up. What he was saying brought memories to you, of Katsumi's group and their story. Stain was trying to make it right, at least in his perspective. You looked around, trying to see if the other hero was safe.

"Native's safe and out of the way," Todoroki murmured to you, seeing you look around. "But Iida... I'm sorry, but I think he needs this."

You nodded. It looked like he understood his mistakes and his look of redemption made up your mind.

Midoriya and Iida swapped places to keep Stain busy. "Todoroki!" Iida called. "Are you able to adjust your temperature?"

"I'm not used to using my left side yet, why?" Todoroki shot flames from his left side, supporting Midoriya in the fight.

"Cool down my leg! But do it so that my exhaust pipes don't get plugged!"

Before Todoroki could do so, Stain managed to dodge a punch from Midoriya and the flames, throwing a knife straight at Todoroki. You and Iida both reacted, Iida throwing out his uninjured arm to block and you pushing Todorki out of the way due to it being most quick and convenient, you standing next to him and arms occupied with wrapping cloth around the wound on your arm.

You cursed, seeing the knife lodged in Iida's arm. The force of that knife going through his armor was not something to take lightly.

Another knife came flying towards him and this time you threw your injured arm out to block it. Double injuries on one side is better than one for each side on this occasion. Todoroki stood up, panicked, rushing to use his ice to block even more attacks from the maniac villain.

"Don't worry, just do it quick!" Iida shouted.

The two combined their quirks. As Todoroki used his eyes to cool down Iida's leg, Iida used his teeth to pull out the knife lodged into his arm. He pulled it out quickly, before you could tell him that that was a bad idea. However, the adrenaline must have been enough for him to keep the pain away and keep going. You used your other arm to pull out the knife from your forearm, thankful that it wasn't as deep.

You watched as he burst forward, in sync with Midoriya, both students attacking the villain with a kick and punch respectively.

Todoroki used his ice to catch them, and the four of you watched as he finally fell and laid on top of the ice, unmoving.

Tomura lowered the binoculars, still staring down at the scene.

One of the Nomu was easily killed by Stain, who was barely standing after the fight with the students and you.

He couldn't hear what Stain had been saying, but it must have been strong enough to freeze everyone in their places. Everyone there, including the heroes. Even you, and that made Tomura sure that it wasn't some quirk.

What were you even doing here? Hosu was far from where you lived, and you had told him you would keep a low profile and continue living as a normal, regular citizen that worked at U. A. and at a café.

He grumbled curses under his breath, confused and frustrated at how things played out. "Let's go home."

Kurogiri started forming a gate behind him. "Are the results to your satisfaction?"

Tomura glared at him for no particular reason. "That all depends on tomorrow." Before he could enter Kurogiri's warp gate, a circular black hole appeared in front of the entrance to it. A man with black hair climbed out of it, a similar man following behind.

"What do you want?" Tomura scoffed. He narrowed his eyes. Katsumi and Miki here spelled trouble.

"It really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, huh?" Katsumi growled. "Stain still steals the spotlight."

"You don't know that." Tomura stopped in his tracks but Kurogiri's portal stayed swirling. "You can take your Nomu back or whatever. I'm done with them for now."

"You just grab whatever you want and throw them at whatever, as if you're a child with a tantrum."

"Watch what you're saying." Tomura was already tired of this shit today, he didn't need any more annoyances getting in his way. His hands reached for his neck and started scratching profusely.

Katsumi didn't back down. "If you're going to do your own thing, I'm doing mine. I'm done trying to negotiate with you."

"Good riddance." Why did Giran bring this bunch to him anyway? Tomura's hands clenched into a fist.

"Grow up."

Tomura turned and lunged forward at them, hands out and wanting to turn them to dust. Instead, he stumbled forward and his hands met a smooth wooden surface that soon started to crumble beneath his fingers.

"Forgive me, Shigaraki, but I believe that it's best we keep out of their path and stay on our own." Kurogiri's voice came from behind him as the warp gate that brought them there dissipated.

"Shut up." He regained his composure, his mind still on turning Katsumi to dust. He started scratching at his neck again, the scraping sound filling the room uncomfortably.

Katsumi doing his own thing won't bother him. He was still in charge of making the Nomu, but the supply will still stay with Sensei in charge of him. Tomura won't care what he does. As long as it doesn't involve you. He sighed frustratedly. He missed you.
