"It's got sleeping gas, flight, endurance, speed boost, strength, dark vision, resistance, a ranged blade attack quirk, and regeneration," Katsumi listed, deciding to side with you for the time being against the wild Nomu. "You got any plans?"

You glanced at where Miki was at, but saw no one. Ethan must have gotten him out of there. Fortunate for them, as the winged Nomu stood unblinking at you and Katsumi.

You didn't have a plan, and your drowsiness wasn't helping the situation. You were exhausted.

To make matters worse, yet another familiar face arrived.

Bloodied and bruised, possibly with (another) thousand bones broken, Midoriya came to halt at the edge of the somewhat-clearing when he saw you. He had Kota on his back, scared out of his mind, most likely.

"Midoriya!" you called. This was the worst possible time for someone to come. The Nomu changed positions for another charge. "Watch out!"

Thanks to your warning, the boy just barely dodged the Nomu he hadn't seen due to the trees blocking his vision.

"Mx. [L/N]!" Midoriya shouted back. "I have to tell you—"

"Get out of here!"

If he had information, he had to get it to someone more reliable and able to do something with it. And that someone was not you. You had too much on your plate at the moment.

Midoriya took in the full situation. Two bodies on the ground and you and another person facing against a Nomu. Not to mention the Nomu was unlike any that he's seen before.

You watched as he prepared to charge in, setting Kota down.

"I said," you repeated, bracing yourself to dodge another oncoming charge, "GET OUT!"

You ran for the two kids, and just barely knocked them down to avoid the long, sharp... tongue that had shot out of its mouth. A sharp, searing pain shot through your waist as you noticed that the sharp rod had shot out more from the main stem. It soon retracted, pulling a sharp blade from your waist.

"Whatever information you have, get it to someone in charge other than me." You pulled Midoriya up, flinching from the sharp pain at your side. "Go!"

You watched as he wordlessly nodded in shock and sprinted off with his quirk boosting him.

You braced yourself to dodge any more incoming attacks from the Nomu. "It doesn't seem to know ally and foe," you muttered to yourself. You glared at Katsumi.

Katsumi sighed, saying nothing. His expression was conflicted, confused. "I'm sorry."

"Now doesn't seem to be the time." You weren't even sure what he was apologizing for. "You should say that to Aiko and Miki anyhow."

From the corner of your eye, you saw a slight movement. Aiko was being dragged away from the conflict by Ethan, cheeks still puffed out. Even if he wasn't invisible, you doubted the Nomu would go for them. It had zoned in on you completely.

You weren't even sure how you were running or predicting the Nomu's next moves, but you helped push Aiko out of the way just in time with Ethan as the Nomu charged again without warning. He turned just as quickly and you weren't able to move away, distracted by the wound at your side.

Katsumi pulled you out of its charge lane by your arm, thankfully. Its force knocked down the tree it rammed into and its roar echoed far into the forest.

"Aiko and I talked about you," he said. "You've done so much for us. And we barely know each other."

You huffed, frustrated, still keeping an eye on the Nomu. It doesn't seem like Katsumi had any plans or ideas on stopping it, too conflicted and occupied with his emotions. You couldn't rely on someone coming either, even if Midoriya found someone by now.

"Y'know," you started, leaning against a tree. You looked up at them, an idea forming. "You have a problem with leaders, even though you're one."

The Nomu had paused for a few moments after ramming into the tree, you noticed. Right now it seemed to just charge to attack instead of the blade attack, aiming to tackle you and nothing more. Perhaps it had too much energy to just sit still and let the blades do all the work.

You had an idea, crazy as it were with your fading consciousness due to your wound and lack of sleep.

You turned to Katsumi. "Clone the trees."

You started climbing a particularly large tree, arms sore and weak and your wound sending pain worth every movement. You were running on pure adrenaline.

He looked at you confused, but objects, "I'm not a leader." He paused. "Well, somewhat, but I didn't step on others to get there!"

"You've helped steal quirks from others," you pointed out. "To make the Nomu."

The Nomu flapped his wings, starting to rise and fly up.

Katsumi said nothing, clenching his fists, and you continued, trying to focus on the Nomu.

"The people choose the number one hero because of the hope they give. Sure, there's ones that step on others to get there, but there's also ones that work for it. Like you have." You weren't even thinking about your words anymore, just saying what came to mind and what you truly felt.

You braced yourself again, about to collapse from pain and exhaustion. The adrenaline prevented that from happening, and you waited for just a few more flaps. Swaying just a bit on the tree, you jumped onto the back of the Nomu. It roared, twisting and turning to get you off. You grasped on to the base of the wings, holding tightly for your life.

"A leader is hope. That's what Miki and Aiko have. Hope in you."

There was a very low chance that driving it into a wall would stop it due to its endurance and resistance, but you had to try something. Hopefully Katsumi understood and made it work, both the plan you had, and your advice.

You tried the best you could to drive the Nomu—even though you didn't even know how to drive a car—and crashed it down onto the fallen tree from before.
