"Hey," you said, surprised. Another unexpected guest. You saw Aiko quickly bow to Kayama for almost running into her, then kept her head down and left. "Cya," you called after her.

"Who was that?" Kayama asked, sparing a glance at the fleeing figure.

"Just a friend catching up on stuff," you explained quickly. "What brings you here?"

"I wanted to drop off some things and talk." She had an upbeat tone to her face, not thinking twice about the person they just left, thankfully.

You let her in, somewhat drained from your conversation with Aiko right after that nightmare. A conversation with a hero right after that doesn't help.

Kayama started taking out a few files and placing them on the table. You could see that they were student files.

"We wanted to know your opinion on how the students did," Kayama explained. "Since you are one of the main teachers for them and all."

You raised an eyebrow at her. "You really trust my inputs?" She heard about your past from Aizawa, so why would she trust you still?

"Why not?" She glanced at your expression, then smiled gently. "Don't confuse distrust with caution. I'm sure you heard from Aizawa, but, again, he doesn't want to give you in because he believes in you." She finished taking out and sorting the folders and files. "Those villains are low priority anyway, and we're hoping you can change them. Not that they'll be relieved from their charges, but at least help them in some way by stopping them from digging their graves even deeper."

"I...." You gave a relieved sigh. "Thanks. I suppose that's the only way I can really help them."

"Mhm." Kayama gestured towards the folders. "You should have received an email with the recordings of the exams. Feel free to add additional notes and comments."

"Alright." You watched as Kayama got up and stretched. "By the way, who am I up against for class 1B?"

"You'll have to ask Vlad for that, I believe he's still deciding it."

You nodded in acknowledgment again. "Fighting the students is surprisingly fun," you commented. "Seeing how they do and the ways they strategize."

"It is!" Her face lit up with excitement, ready to talk about the students as she sat down again. "I saw a glimpse of Uraraka's and Aoyama's exam, and Uraraka's combat training during her internship—plus your classes—seems to be paying off well!"

"They were all pretty good," you agreed. "Some of them need more work than others, but hopefully they'll do fine on the written exam."

She nodded, then shrugged. "Either way, the ones who failed the practical exam part are going to have extra classes during the school trip."

"School trip?"

"Yep. Remember that forest lodge trip?"

"I thought that was only for the ones who were passing."

"Well, it's actually a bootcamp rather than a vacation trip. The ones who failed are the ones who need to go on the trip the most." She laughed. "It's just a logical ruse Aizawa set up!"

You snorted. "Of course it is."

"1A and 1B are going too," she explained. "You, Aizawa, and Vlad are accompanying."

You nodded, pursing your lips. "I guess that'll be good for their training. Should be a larger area, right? And different people with different quirks."

"Yep, it'll be good training for them." Kayama stood up again, flipping her hair back. "Anyway, I've got stuff to do. I'll leave you to your grading now, [L/N]!"

"[Y/N]," you correct quickly, walking her to the door. "See you later." You walked her to the door, giving her a small smile.

"Nemuri." She patted you on the shoulder, returning the smile, larger.

When she left, your smile dropped a bit and you closed the door. Looking back at the files on the table, you sighed. Might as well work on these now.

You gathered them up and moved them to a different room with your computer. Like she promised, there was an email from Nezu with all the students' exam videos attached.

You watched your battle against Kaminari and Ashido's first, wanting to know what they were doing in the beginning while you were waiting.

The two were discussing with each other and pointing at buildings. They had taken their time in planning, surprisingly, despite the fact that their plan hadn't exactly worked out for them.

Next, you watched Uraraka and Aoyama's battle against Thirteen. They were close to being sucked in by the hero's black hole quirk, but Thirteen's hero instincts saved them from failing. You caught a glimpse of Aoyama saying something, and you slowed down the video. There was no audio unfortunately, but you could barely make out Aoyama's words by lip reading.

You made out Midoriya' name, then saw Uraraka blush and cover her face.

You giggled. If that wasn't obvious you didn't know what was.

The fight was mostly luck and Thirteen's kind instincts, but you could give them points for Uraraka's unexpected and what seemed like instinctual kick. Perfect form, too.

You sped through some of the others, some of which you watched earlier with Kay—Nemuri, putting the videos at x1.5 or x2 speed until you got to Aizawa's. You were able to catch some of it earlier, but you wanted to rewatch it and see the students before and after the fight.

Yaoyorozu was definitely more confident in accepting the criticism and praise at the end. Todoroki had listened to most of everything, like he always does. But this time he had offered Yaoyorozu a chance to give her ideas. Aizawa has definitely taken their traits into account during the pairing and how to deal with them in the fight.

The exam wasn't to just test how much they've grown, but also to keep them growing.

You leaned back in your chair, stretching and yawning. You stared up at the ceiling for a moment, then smiled a bit. You liked these kids way too much.
