You always get an uneasy feeling around your aunt. You could barely stand to be under the same roof as her, anyway. That's why you spent most of your time outside studying or hanging out with your friends.
Your one friend, that is, Tomura Shigaraki. You had met him when you were really young. He was a lot younger than you, but since you had no one else it was like he was your little brother. His family was kind to you and the two of you spent time together often to play.
After a certain incident with Tomura, Sensei had taken him in and took care of him. He had also helped you out when you were having bad days with your aunt.
Then, you met Ethan. You had just finished middle school when you met him. You remembered he was really insecure and shy, surprisingly.
"You can see me?!" was the first thing he said to you, and looking back on it, it was hilarious that you had scared and surprised him. Now, it was him jumping you even when you could see through his quirk. Your quirk immunity seemed to allow you to see through these kinds of quirk mutations.
Ethan lived in an orphanage, but because of his "freakish appearance" as a chameleon he often ran out to be alone, stealing food when he needed. You had caught him doing that when no one else could because of his quirk, and you had said nothing. Instead, you brought your own food and shared it with him.
Aiko was next, helping Ethan get food as well. She was the one that taught you how to fight and defend yourself. She talked about herself and the group's background, as well as her view on heroes.
You hadn't known much about her friends, Katsumi and Miki, but all of you eventually ended up under the same leader, Sensei.
All these people you knew talked about how unreliable and bad heroes were. Their own history seemed to affect you, and you started believing their ideals. Despite that, you didn't hate heroes as much as them.
You knew their stories, and more than that, you knew how unfair the world was and how they were treated. So now, despite that, despite your connections and relationship with them, why were you hesitating to help them?
Of course, it wouldn't immediately solve all their problems, but it was such a big part of the plan. Yet you hesitated.

The place was not as near the beach as Shota would've liked. It was a big area too. The whole place was abandoned after an earthquake a few months ago, and reconstruction was still on hold.
"Did you drug [L/N]?" Shota asked. He's had the sneaking suspicion that the chameleon man had put something in your coffee.
"Yeah."
It was quite obvious from his expression that he regretted it, Shota noted.
"Changed your mind quickly, huh?" Shota commented. When Ethan only shrugged, he continued. "Why didn't Katsumi listen to whoever the boss is?"
Shigaraki and Kurogiri were following him, and him following Ethan. He was watching all three of them and analyzing carefully as best he could.
"He doesn't like being under control by others," Ethan replied. He looked over his shoulder at him, a somewhat sad grin on his face. "It's how he's been since... an incident."
"Oh?" Shota paused when the chameleon man stopped in front of a large building that seemed to have been a regular apartment building. It was mostly broken down and only two floors remained fairly intact. "What incident?"
He shrugged, trying to avoid his gaze. "The group should be around here. Apart from the lobby there's a lot of apartments that they might be in." He pointed into the building with his thumb, gesturing for them to go in. "I wouldn't know, we just switched hideouts."
