Darkness was all she could feel. She couldn't see anything, but she was slightly aware of her surroundings. She could hear the grass below her rustling in the wind. It was a calming sensation. The area surrounding her felt light and refreshing. Y/N let her body rest. The wind tickled her nose and gave goosebumps and her skin.

She laid there for so long. Y/N lost track of time of how long it's been since she left that horrible place. It suddenly felt chilly, Y/N could only assume that it was getting late. The warming light the sun gave her was now gone, now that was left was the moonlight shining down on her fragile body. Unlike the sun, the moon gave no warmth to her. The air felt cold and damp, she was starting to get sick, but there was nothing she could do to prevent this.

Beyond the distance crawled a few village men. They had flaming touches on some of their hands and others had useful tools like axes and hoes. They seemed to be scouting around the area. They weren't a big group, but they were armed. Her body was not far from where they were. They all walked forth in sync and were alert of their surroundings.

One of the men strayed further from the group but came closer to her cold body. At this point she was freezing, she needed help and medical attention right away. The strayed man's touch was seen from the corner of her closed eyes, she could feel the warmth from it. She begged for it to come closer, and it did.

The man didn't notice her. He just simply walked around her, unaware that there was a freezing woman on the ground. He wasn't the brightest tool in the shed, at least there was someone there for her. Y/N's brain started to become fuzzy, she couldn't think, all she wanted was for that man to come pick her up and help her.

The young man found the unconscious woman. He was startled at first, he wondered if she was there all along. It was weird that he didn't notice her at first, but that didn't matter now, he had to get her help. The young man ran towards her and put down his torch. He carried her in his arms and took off swiftly into the crowded men.

The men saw him and the woman he was carrying, they were shocked. They all quickly took their leave and made their way back to their safe village. Although their village looked quite defenceless, they still gave the men a home and a family to come back to.

Her body was still being carried in the man's arms, he quickly ran faster to where he lived. It was a small home, no more than two people could live in it. The man barged through the door and was greeted by a much older lady.

Surprised by what the man bought home, the older woman quickly told him to put her down near the fireplace to warm her up. Her body was currently ice cold, but as soon as it reached near the fireplace, the hot air warmed her up quickly. Right now Y/N was unable to feel it. She was knocked out cold.

The older woman left to retrieve back soft wool blankets. She put them on her hoping she would wake up to be fine in the morning. The man was told to go to bed, and he did. The older woman also left shortly to go to bed. It was very late. The young man and the older woman hope that she will be alright.

Hours went by and Y/N could feel a thick cozy blanket on top of her. This was an amazing feeling, she hopes to stay like this for longer, but she knew she couldn't. She had to wake up now. Her body wasn't cooperating with her. She lazily opened her eyelids to find herself under a roof, next to her was an ashy fireplace.

Her eyes scanned her surroundings, she was in someone's home. How intruding and rude of her. Y/N felt bad, they gave her a roof to be under and sat her near the fireplace to warm her up, she was extremely grateful to whoever gave her a place like this.

Y/N's body slowly moved upwards. She started to get up but her legs were shaky. She hasn't moved in a long time. Her arms were also shaky, but she didn't care. She wanted to thank the people who took her in generously. Before she could walk out the door, she had to practice how to walk, like how a toddler would always try to walk on their own.
