With Venno:

The Velocirptor demoness wasn’t even paying attention to how fast she was really running, everything seeming to go in slow motion for her as she searched for any sign of a large palace that looked like it could belong to the King of Hell.

She didn't even realize she was running so fast that everything around her seemed to go slower.

As she searched, she spotted a large palace towering in the distance, and it appeared to be in the mansion district of the city.

She picked up the pace, running faster, wanting to get there as soon as possible.

As she was running past a street, though, she got a strange feeling of dejavu as everything seemed to go in even slower motion than it already was as she heard a loud honk coming from her right.

She glanced over and gasped, seeing a bus about a few meters away, about to hit her.

Thinking quickly, she jumped forward and rolled out of the way, allowing the bus to shoot right past her.

Several onlookers seemed a little concerned as the bus swerved, crashing into a random TV store nearby as the driver attempted to avoid the Velociraptor demoness.

In hindsight, he wouldn’t have had to do that, considering she had managed to jump out of the way just in time.

Breathing hard and catching her breath, Venno sighed in relief when she saw that she was still alive.

Or at least as alive as a demon can be, since her Living Soul was dead.

Shaking her head, she decided to continue on her way, wanting to get to the palace so that she can get her stuff before the end of the day.

Time Skip:

The Velociraptor demoness had made it to the large palace.

Or at least the courtyard, anyway.

There were several demons milling around, some speaking amongst themselves while others stood in line silently.

Glancing around, Venno spotted several tables set up nearby as demons lined up to register as an official Denizen of Hell.

Deciding to see what needed to be done first, Venno walked over to a service table, wanting to ask some questions.

The demon behind the table appeared to be an older Imp, writing some stuff down on her clipboard as her glasses seemed to slide off her face slowly.

“Excuse me, I was just wondering. What do I have to do in order to sign in as an official Denizen of Hell?” asked Venno, startling the Imp.

“Oh, yes…” said the Imp, fixing her glasses as she scowled, clearing her throat before speaking.

“You want to line up over there. Once you get to the front, you’ll be asked your full name. There, you can either change it so you can be called something else, or you can keep it. Doesn’t matter. After that, they will tell you what you did and how you died. Once finished, you’ll receive a card stating your name, sin and death. There will be a blank space on the card that is reserved for whatever job you choose, or gang or mafia that you join. Your pick. Most demons choose not to get a job because they like to think of Hell as a free pass to do whatever they want. And you know what? They’re not that far off” explained the Imp, not taking her eyes off the clipboard as she continued to write something on it.

Venno nodded, getting the feeling that the Imp had had to explain this exact same speech many times before.

The Imp sighed, seeming to get bored.
