With Venno:

The Velociraptor demoness felt a hiss and purr resonate deep inside her throat, glaring at the Anglerfish demon as he stood about a meter away from her, her tail swishing from side to side.

“Like I’d believe that. What makes you think I need help from one of my bounties?” asked Venno, unable to move freely without the help of a wall to support her because of her sprained ankle.

Dexx chuckled, shrugging as he smirked.

“Well, I knew you’d probably not want my help, so I decided to come anyway since I thought you could use the company. Maybe for just a day or two, to make up for the fact that you got hurt while chasing me” said Dexx teasingly, looking down at Venno’s scythe that he was still holding.

Venno growled, her fists clenching in anger.

Using her good leg, that wasn’t in the cast, Venno jumped at the Anglerfish demon and tackled him to the floor.

The Anglerfish demon barely had enough time to raise the metal crutch he had still been holding, having tossed the scythe off to the side to hold Venno back as she tried clawing at him. As a result, Venno was now straddling his waist, leaning over him so her face was only inches away from him, the only thing between them being the crutch as she tried pushing it down but found that Dexx was managing to hold it up.

“Wow, you’re feistier than I thought” said Dexx, unable to help tease the Velcoiraptor demoness some more.

Venno continued to growl, getting angered with the Anglerfish demon’s constant remarks.

“Yeah, and if you don’t stop then I’ll be bringing you into the Bounty Hunter Agency with a half burned face” warned Venno, some toxic venom saliva dripping out of her mouth.

The droplets landed on the floor too close to Dexx’s face, causing the Anglerfish demon to now worry and gulp in fear, seeing the droplets letting off some smoke where they landed.

“Right, alright, I get it. I’ll stop with the constant remarks for now” said Dexx, having finally caved in and got the hint.

It was now Venno’s turn to smirk, but then cringed when she realized the position they were both in.

Quickly getting off of the Anglerfish demon, the Velociraptor demoness managed to stand back up on her own as Dexx also got up, brushing himself off.

“Anyway, like I said, I’m here to help you and keep you company for about a day or two before I leave. I even brought you a crutch so you could walk around easily without having to use the walls and furniture to help support you” said Dexx, handing the crutch over to Venno.

The Velociraptor demoness was shocked, taking the crutch, hearing no hint of him lying.

“I don’t know what to say. Wait a minute, did you steal this?” said Venno, feeling like she was touched by the gesture, but then scowled when she remembered who she was talking to.

Dexx chuckled as he wrapped an arm around her waist, helping and guiding her to the sofa and sitting her down.

“Of course I did. I could only steal the one, though. Didn’t have enough time to grab the other one from the hospital storage room. But it’s the gesture that counts” said Dexx shrugging, smiling as he walked off somewhere behind the sofa.

Venno just glanced down at the crutch, raising an eyebrow at the thought of Dexx stealing something to help her.

She then shook her head, not wanting to feel grateful towards the Anglerfish demon since he was still her bounty.
