The Overlord of Bounty Hunting (Story 20 - Part 2)

With Jerry: 

The Spider demon took a slow puff from his cigarette as he made his way down the street, having decided to walk so that he could have the time to think and reflect on what’s about to happen. 

Jerry had already sent Venno out to find Dexx’s hideout, or at least his Pentagram city hideout, the Velociraptor demoness apparently already knowing where it was. 

Jerry could tell that Venno didn’t actually know the exact location of the hideout, but apparently she had a feeling on where it was. 

And while Venno was on her way to Dexx’s hideout, the Velociraptor demoness telling Jerry where to meet her once he was ready, the Spider demon was on his way to meet back up with an old friend of his from many years ago. 

The Spider demon sighed, having had a feeling his old friend was still in the city, but he wasn’t too sure until he finally figured it out. 

The Spider demon halted and looked up at the bright sign above the door, having made it to where he needed to be. 

Mentally preparing himself for a confrontation, the Spider demon entered the bar. 

Quickly glancing around, Jerry spotted the demoness he was looking for, the Black Widow demoness standing behind the bar counter and cleaning a glass. 

Seeing that business was slow, only a few denizens sitting around on their own around the room, Jerry walked over to the bar counter. 

Deciding to just stand, Jerry took a slow puff from his cigarette before silently sighing, the Spider demon then clearing his throat. 

The Black Widow demoness was startled, having nearly dropped the glass she was cleaning as she whirled around. 

“Oh, it’s just you. This is the second time we’ve met, haven’t we?” asked the Black Widow demoness as she quickly glanced away and went back to cleaning some more glasses. 

Jerry coughed for a second before shaking his head, the Spider demon tossing his cigarette into the trash can behind the counter. 

“You know that’s not true, Widow” said Jerry, the Spider demon frowning as he swiftly lit a new cigarette. 

The Black Widow demoness was so startled this time that she actually did drop the two glasses she had in two of her hands, both shattering the second they fell onto the floor. 

With Venno: 

The Velociraptor demoness found the old warehouse building she was looking for, having just made it to the docks. 

Venno had quickly decided to change into her Bounty Hunter uniform, but she knew that she wouldn’t be able to wear it too much longer since she was pregnant. 

Taking the key Dexx had thrown out of her backpack, Venno unlocked the warehouse door and slowly opened it, the Velociraptor demoness taking a quick peek inside. 

Venno saw that the inside appeared just as it had when she first entered the building, old vehicles and machines scattered and piled on top of each other. 

As Venno entered, the Velociraptor demoness had a feeling that Dexx used some spare parts from the vehicles and machines to make his own equipment, such as the small grapple hook, his jet boots, and his goggles. 

The Velociraptor demoness glanced around the large room, returning his attention back at the task at hand. 

She had a feeling that Dexx’s hideout was in the warehouse, but she had been unable to return and find it because the front door had always been locked, and the windows were boarded up so she was unable to enter.
