Father's Instinct (Story 13 - Part 2)

With Venno:

The Velociraptor demoness was standing atop a tall building, not one of the tallest, but still tall enough.

Her brother, Rad, was crouching beside her, the Toxic Sludge demon waiting impatiently as Venno tried to catch sight of the bounty they were hunting.

"How much longer do we have to wait? I really want to chase after a bounty and maybe fight him" said Rad, making it clear how bored he was, the Toxic Sludge demon trying to stay awake.

Venno sighed, the Velociraptor demoness having been looking through her binoculars, scanning the streets below while also keeping Slendithera in sight, the Porcelain Monster demoness scouting the streets below.

"Bounty Hunting isn't just about chasing after bounties and having to fight the occasional one. It's also about patience since we have to first find and locate them. This guy we're hunting now has been seen here, in Pentagram city, so we don't have to go far to find him. That's why I sent Slendithera to scout the streets below while we remained up here and out of sight. It's best to catch them off guard by dropping down from the roofs than walking around the streets" said Venno, frowning as she turned to her younger brother.

Rad sighed in annoyance, the Toxic Sludge demon bored, having never been on an actual hunt with his oldest sister before.

"You make it look so exciting when I see you" said Rad.

Venno chuckled as she returned her attention back to the streets below, locating her younger sister and seeing her walking around casually.

"That's because you see me after I find and locate them, when the actual chase starts" explained Venno, watching as Slendithera quickly perked up and looked up at where she knew Venno and Rad were, pointing in a random direction.

Venno frowned and moved her binoculars over in the direction Slendithera was pointing at, the Velociraptor demoness perking up when she saw the bounty they were hunting.

"Alright Rad, looks like we found him" said Venno, standing up and putting her binoculars back into her backpack before putting her goggles on.

Rad gasped in shock, the Toxic Sludge demon smiling excitedly as he stood up.

"Really?" asked Rad, unable to believe what he was hearing.

Venno nodded as she kept her eyes on the bounty, seeing that he was just leaving a bar.

"That's right. Try to keep up, alright?" said Venno, giving her brother a quick smile before jumping down from the building.

Rad watched in shock as Venno gently flew down, the small jets strapped on her outer thighs activating and allowing her to fly down with ease.

Unable to wait any longer, Rad quickly jumped down from the building as well, the Toxic Sludge demon changing forms so that he was now an eagle creature, flying alongside the Velociraptor demoness.

Landing on the ground just behind the bounty, causing him to turn around in shock and jump in fright, Venno began speaking as Rad landed beside her and changed back into his normal form.

"Alright buddy, you know why I'm here. You can do this the easy way, or the hard way" said Venno.

The bounty, a Cheetah demon, snarled as he glared at her.

"You'll have to catch me if you want to bring me in" said the bounty before he quickly turned and dashed off down the street.

Venno sighed and shook her head before glancing over at her younger brother, Slendithera quickly running over to see what was going on.
