Becoming the Hunter (Story 2 - Part 4)

With Venno: 

The second the horn was sounded, Venno went off, running so fast that everything seemed like a blur to her once again. 

The Velociraptor demoness climbed up the course faster than the Duck demon, even successfully doudging every projectile that came her way. 

Instead of ducking under the log about halfway up the course, she jumped over it before doing a quick roll as he landed, avoiding the sawblades that nearly got the Duck demon. 

For the last leg of the climb, Venno grabbed the pipe and began climbing it instead of taking the longer ath provided, knowing the pipe was a shortcut to the end, unlike the others who went the longer way to reach the top. 

Once Venno had made it, she rang the bell, laughing triumphantly when she saw that she had actually made it faster than she thought. 

“I have no idea where these skills came from, but I am LOVING IT!” exclaimed Venno, gloating as she pumped her fists in the air. 

The German Shepherd demon, Tiger demoness, and Duck demon just sat in their seats, looking worried when they saw how much faster the Velocirptor demoness climbed the course, the Duck demon looking more jealous and angry that his time of forty second had been beat by twenty. 

Jerry nodded when he saw how much better Venno had done, hiding his smile by taking a puff from his cigarette. 

“Alright, Raptor. You can come down now. The next test will be starting” said Jerry into the mic. 

Venno nodded as she began climbing down the course, making it to the bottom before taking her seat in the waiting room. 

Fiona looked impressed, having never seen anyone complete the course as quickly as she had. 

“Wow….I think she even beat your time by ten seconds!” exclaimed Fiona, smiling as she glanced up at Barry. 

Barry just scowled, glaring at Venno, his arms remaining crossed as his ears lowered. 

“Yeah...she is a Velociraptor demoness, afterall...so I guess she would do better than me at the course” muttered Barry, hating that he had to admit the fact that Venno had done FAR better than he had when he first took the training test. 

He even despised the fact that she had only been in Hell for about a week, seeming like she had never done any extreme parkour or stunts in her entire life, and then ending up showing off by completing the course in record time like she had been doing it for years. 

The Velociraptor demoness sat in her seat, excited to see what the next test had to offer. 

Time Skip: 

Venno was running on a treadmill so fast, the other three demons could only watch her from their treadmills as if she were some sort of insane demons who said something crazy. 

While they were running at 20 to 40 miles per hour, Venno was running at almost 110 miles per hour, faster than all three of them combined. 

Jerry checked her vitals, the Velociraptor demoness having a watch connected to her wrist that measured her heart beat. 

He raised an eyebrow before smiling and nodding when he saw that her heartbeat was so steady that it looked like it was beating at a normal pace. 

Venno knew that in her head, she can run MUCH faster, having found out how fast she can really run now that she’s a Velociraptor demoness. 

Even though she knew that Velociraptors can only run at 40 miles her hour, she did some digging around in the Pentagram city library and found out that her demon species can run up to five times faster because of them being half demon.
