Venno Rapter ~ A Hellish Series ~

The Hyena Pack Gang (Story 6 - Part 2)

With Venno: 

The Velociraptor demoness was sitting through another meeting at the Bounty Hunter Agency, her head resting on her hand as she sighed, waiting for Jerry to finish telling them what he had to say before allowing them all to choose a new bounty to hunt. 

“-and to conclude today’s meeting, I would like to congrat Rapter for bringing in so many bounties in the last few months. She is quickly moving up on the leaderboard, and I can tell that she and, *ahem*, Barry will be quite literally fighting for the title as Overlord of Bounty Hunting” said Jerry, smiling at first, but then frowned when he mentioned the Wolf Hound demon sitting beside Venno. 

Venno could only do her best not to laugh, smirking when she saw Barry’s ear twitch from the corner of her eye, indicating he was annoyed.

Several Bounty Hunters cheered and clapped for the Velociraptor demoness, to which Venno smiled and nodded gratefully. 

“Thanks, I just really enjoy hunting bounties, and I feel like my skills are being put to good use, too” said Venno. 

Jerry chuckled as Barry crossed his arms and glanced away, the Wolf Hound demon scowling. 

“Well then, I’m glad you joined. Anyway, here are the folders with the new bounties in them, but if you want, you can all go up to the wall to see if you want to hunt down any older bounties” said Jerry, tossing the pile of folders near the center of the table once again. 

This caused everyone to groan in annoyance, since the circular table was so large, and the pile was near the center.

As Venno got up to choose two new bounties from the wall while some Bounty Hunters managed to grab a folder from the center of the table, Jerry also got up and walked over to her, placing a hand on her shoulder and stopping her from going over to the wall. 

“I’ve got a bounty for you that I believe you will be able to take care of. Follow me to the archives, I told Scott to not include it in the folders this time, since I want you to be the one to take it” muttered Jerry, keeping his voice down before taking a quick puff from his cigarette. 

Venno raised an eyebrow before nodding in understanding, following the Spider demon out of the meeting room and to the elevator. 

As they went down one floor, Venno crossed her arms and glanced over at Jerry. 

“So, what’s this bounty you want me to hunt?” asked Venno, genuinely curious. 

Jerry shrugged, having been taking a quick puff from his cigarette. 

“It’s a new bounty, but it’s one that even I don’t know what to do with. I want you to bring him in so that our Bounty Investigator can take care of him. I only trust you for the job, since I know I can count on you and not that overgrown mutt” said Jerry, scowling as he referred to Barry. 

Venno raised an eyebrow, curious to see who the bounty was and what they did. 

Once the elevator doors opened, the two demons walked out and over to the front desk where the Possum demon was sitting, typing something on the computer in front of him. 

Upon hearing the elevator doors dinging open, the Possum demon glanced up and smiled, stopping what he was doing to address them instead. 

“Glad you two could finally make it. Anyway, Here’s the info on the bounty you’ll be hunting” said the Possum demon, picking up the file on the desk beside him. 

Jerry took the file and opened it, humming in thought and nodding when he saw that it was the correct one. 

“Thanks, Scott” said Jerry, nodding.
