Brother's Rage (Story 8 - Part 3)

With Venno: 

“Wait, what was your name before you died?” asked Venno, wanting to get clarification on who the Toxic Sludge demon really was, quickly raising her goggles so they were resting on her forehead. 

The Toxic Sludge demon seemed confused and a bit taken back by this question, but he quickly shook his head and regained himself, glaring at the two sisters as Slendithera stood up. 

“My name was Randy, when I was alive, but I go by Rad now. Why do you ask? You’re going to take me into the Bounty Hunter Agency and then hand me over to those Harpy demons for stealing from their casino, anyway” said the Toxic Sludge demon, his fists clenched. 

“And you said you lost two sisters when you were alive? Were their names Venno and Christina, by any chance?” asked Slendithera. 

The Toxic Sludge demon continued to glare at them, growling in anger. 

“Yes. How do you two know their names?” asked the Toxic Sludge demon. 

Venno and Slendithera both exchanged glances before they both walked over to the Toxic Sludge demon. 

The Toxic Sludge demon, Rad, tensed up when he saw this, but then relaxed when he saw that they had both taken out their own denizen cards. 

“Do you have one?” asked Venno, not showing her card yet. 

The Toxic Sludge demon eyed them suspiciously, but he did take one out from under his fedora and handed it to Venno. 

Both Venno and Slendithera held their cards up beside each other, Venno also holding up Rad’s as they both read the last names on the back side with their old names. 

Both their eyes widened when they confirmed it, the two sisters exchanging glances, causing the Toxic Sludge demon to cross his arms and narrow his eyes. 

“Well?” asked Rad, getting impatient even though they had only just checked. 

“This confirms it. We’re your sisters, Venno and Christina” said Venno, showing the three cards to Rad so he could also read it and confirm it for himself. 

Rad’s eyes widened when he saw that their last names were the same, recognizing their first names as well. 

He looked up and examined their features, seeing that even though they had changed forms, he was able to recognize the two now that he was getting a closer look at them both. 

He then gasped as he saw an image of both his sisters when they had been alive, causing his eyes to tear up. 

“Venno, Christina! I missed you two so much!” cried Rad, immediately tackling both of his older sisters in the tightest hug he could. 

Venno refrained from snarling, the Velociraptor demoness managing to swallow it down as she chuckled, hugging her younger brother back as Slendithera laughed with joy. 

“Oh my gosh, you’ve grown so much! You were only a few years younger, and now look at you!” exclaimed Slendithera. 

Rad chuckled as he nodded, letting the two go. 

“Yeah, it’s been a few years. I’m just happy that I get to see you two again” said Rad, wiping away the stray tears. 

“So, you go by Rad now?” asked Venno resting a hand on her hip. 

Rad nodded. 

“I do. What about you two?” he asked. 

“I still go by Venno, but my last name is now Rapter. Christina changed her name to Slendithera because of how skinny and slender her waist is” said Venno, rolling her eyes at the last part.
