That night, Oikawa and Iwaizumi stayed with you in the hospital till visiting times were over.
But for Oikawa since he was a significant other to you, he was aloud to stay the night. You wanted to know more about who you are and to hear stories from the boys but Oikawa thought it would be best if he told you the stories in a slow pace, since he didn't want you feeing overwhelmed at the information pouring into your brain.
As night came you found yourself not able to sleep and yet Oikawa was fast sleep on the chair next to you.
As much as you tried to think about memories , nothing came to mind.
You wanted so desperately to be the girl in Oikawa's story again but in this moment, you felt like a totally different person. As the night continued one, you found yourself staring out the window and at the bright moon.
The moonlight was illuminating the hospital room and you found it easy to feel lost in it.
You found a certain familiarity with it but could've put a memory to it."It's good to see that you still like the moon." Oikawa's tired voice chimed through your ears, giving you a bit of a fright.
"Did I wake you with my tossing and turning?"
Oikawa let out a stretch. "No, I haven't been sleeping well for a couple of weeks now, waking up randomly is kinda a habit now."
"I'm sorry..Is it because of me?"
"Only because I worried about you."
You gave him a sweet smile.
Oikawa cleared his throat.
"The moon? Did it help?"You nodded.
"I feel a bit of familiarity with it yes, but there's nothing in mind that links to it.." You said in almost a ghost like tone, turning back to stare out the window that was opposite of Oikawa."Well, you would always go outside in the middle of the night, your favourite place was the roof of your childhood home. when you had a lot on your mind, or just couldn't sleep, you'd stare at it and just get lost in the moonlight."
"I see.."
Oikawa looked at you with sad eyes. He was lying about the real reason he woke up.
He had a nightmare that you never regained your memories and that you had turned into a completely different person and decided to leave him to pursue someone else...Oikawa's biggest fear.Oikawa was always afraid that he would never be enough for you and to have you in this state, he felt even more anxious about the situation and that his dream might actually come true.
"If I'm being honest Oikawa..I feel like I'm someone who is not who you remember me to be..if that makes sense.."
"It does..."
His own words were like daggers through his heart."But..I do appreciate you staying by my side..I mean I don't remember who you are but there's something about you that draws me to you. Like I belong.." You shook your head. "I'm rambling..I'm sorry."
"Don't be sorry, I'm not going anywhere okay?"
"Okay."
"Are you tired? Do you want some water?"
Your turned to him with a smile.
"You're too kind to me.""Well..you are my fiancé after all." He winked which made you have butterflies in your stomach.
"I'll go get you some cold water okay?""Okay..thank you."
"No need to thank me." He smiled as he leaned towards your head but stop instantly when he realized what he was about to do.
Out of habit from the past eight years, he was about to plant a soft kiss on your forehead, but stopped when he remembered that the gesture would probably frighten you and make you weary of him..something he didn't want.
