A Walk Through The Park

It's been a week since you came home from the hospital.
You spent most of your days in the apartment, searching through your things to get the feel of what you used to be like.

You haven't had any memory come to you since the time you saw the photo of your mother and father.
Trying hard to remember anything and staying up most of the night, tossing and turning.

You were starting lose hope.

While sitting in the living room watching a movie that Oikawa said was one of your favorites.
You watched him type away on his laptop.

"You wear glasses?"

Oikawa looked from his screen and gave you a smile.
"Only sometimes, I hate them so I try not to wear them too much."

"I see.."

Oikawa watched as your eyes moved back over to tv screen.
"Hey? You wanna go for a walk?"

"Sure." You nodded, immediately standing up to put on something that wasn't sweats.

Oikawa smiled as he shut down his laptop and decided to grab his keys, waiting for you.

"Where are we going?"

Oikawa shrugged.
"No where in particular I guess."

"Sounds like fun." You smiled to him.

As you and Oikawa drove, you couldn't help but laugh to yourself.
"I thought we were going for a walk and yet here we are driving."

Oikawa smiled.
"Once we get there, we'll be walking."

"I thought we weren't going anywhere in particular."

"I lied."

"So where are we going?"

"You ask a lot of questions." He teased as he shot you a wink.

You rolled your eyes at him.
"There's a lot a questions that I don't know the answer to, hence why I ask them."

Oikawa's smile faded.
He was still trying to get used to the fact that you don't remember anything, and the old habits you guys used to do, wasn't a habit anymore.
He needed to remember that.

"We're going to a park."

"A park?"

"Yeah..a park that we used to go to a lot. It's also the place where I proposed to you."

You nodded your head slowly. "Sounds romantic.."

"It was...well I tried my best to make it as special as I could..I didn't want you to ever forg-" His voice trailed off as he gripped the steering wheel tighter.
"Sorry.." He mumbled.

You offered him a smile.
"I'm sorry too."

As the two fo your entered the parks entrance, you noticed that it had a path to walk along and in the trees were lanterns and some fairy lights.
Since it was still mid afternoon, you assumed that this place would be lit up beautifully in the night time.

"Wow." You said as you walked beside Oikawa.

Oikawa couldn't see to bring himself to smile at you as you admired the view around you.
You not knowing where you were hurt him more than he wanted.

"I got the ring..I got..Awe man Iwa-chan! What if she says no!" Oikawa said as he held the phone close to his ear as he shuffled around looking for his keys.

"She's gonna say yes idiot! Stop over thinking."

"I CAN"T! She already told me once that marriage wasn't for her!"

"Stop freaking out! Now hang up with me and go! She's gonna be done work soon!"

"You'll be there on time yes?"

"Yes TrashyKawa."

"Okay, okay.." He took in a deep breath. "Okay!" And with that he hung up the phone with his best friend.

The two of the agreed on a plan.
Oikawa was going to waiting in the park with everything lit up and on one knee holding out the ring for when you arrived.

Iwaizumi was going to pick you up from work and immediately take you over to the park, he was also going to take pictures, since he, and Oikawa knew you'd want this to be documented.

When Oikawa arrived to the park, he was nervous wreck that no one has ever seen like.
saying he was nervous would be wrong word to use.

He remembered when you told him that marriage wasn't what you really wanted and he was nervous that you'd reject him as he was down on his knee.

He clenched the ring box in his hand as he watched the clock on his phone.
Time seemed to be moving slower than he would of liked.

But once it was time he was finally ready.

Iwaizumi had picked you up from work and you didn't question it as it happened before many times but when he didn't drive home, you raised a question.
"Iwa..Where are we going?"

Iwaizumi smiled. "You'll see Y/n."

Your furrowed our brows as you knew he was up to something and could only assume that Oikawa was involved as well.

When the two of you arrived to the park you got out of the car with all kinds of confusion.
"Iwa..?"

"Follow me." He said as he walked you towards the spot Oikawa showed him just a couple days prior.

When you were walking the path that was lit up, you couldn't help but smile.
"It's a nice night out today."

"I agree." Iwaizumi said.

As you got closer, you could see Oikawa down on one knee, holding something in his hands.

Your heart fluttered and stomach full of butterflies.
"T-Toru?"

You walked over to him till he was right in front of you.

"Y/n..My beautiful Y/n."

"Toru..is that what I think it is?" Your face now beat red.

"Will you marry me beautiful?" He smiled.

You looked down at the diamond ring that you remembered looking at, at the mall just this past weekend with Oikawa.
"M-Marry y-you?"

Oikawa could feel his face heat up as he waited for your answer.

"Y-YES!" You shouted and engulfed Oikawa into a hug.
"Yes yes yes!"

Oikawa felt his nerves leave his body as your arms wrapped around him.

"Thank god." He whispered.
He then pulled you away and stood the both of you up.
"I love you Y/n. I always have. And I always will, no matter what." He smiled as he tucked a stray hair behind your ear.

"So that's the story huh?" You said as Oikawa finished the memory of the day he proposed to you.

He stopped in his spot.
"This is where it happened."

You took a look around. "This is like the perfect spot."
Then your eyes met his.
"What else happened?"

Oikawa chuckled at the memory.
"I poured my heart out to you."
