"Kayda.." You repeated her name.

"Would you join m for coffee? I'd like to talk to you actually.."

You felt your vision blur as you recalled the day before the accident. The argument that you and Oikawa had just moments before you got into your car and drove.
You bit the bottom of your lip.
"What is there that you need to talk to me about?"

"I heard what happened..he accident I mean.."

"I see.."

"How about that coffee? My treat?" She offered you a smile.

You took out your phone to check the time, noting that your office wasn't to close fo another few hours. You decided that it would be okay to go and talk. Besides..maybe this is was something you needed to do for closure.

"Sure..yeah okay.."

Kayda smiled again. "I know the perfect place. They make a very wicked cappuccino."

"Lead the way."

You took a long sip form your hot tea before you spoke any words to the woman sitting in front of you.

"You look good.." Kayda started.

"What did you need to talk to me about Kayda?"

She took in a deep breath. "Right to point I guess..Um.."

"Look..If you're gonna apologize, just don't..My accident wasn't your fault-"

"You remember?" Kayda sounded surprised, yet confused.

"Yeah..I remember everything."

Kayda bit the side of her cheek.
"Toru, never mentioned that.."

"Why would he?"

"You're right.."

You leaned down into your seat and crossed your arms.
"What was it you wanted to talk to me about?"

"That I'm sorry."

You waited for her to continue.

"I'm in love with your fiancé and I'm so sorry.."

You chuckled.
"You wanted to tell me that you were in love with my Toru.. Why?"

Kayda shook her head.
"After hearing about your accident, and the lost of your memories.. I thought that maybe you'd leave him.. And then that's when I'd take him.."

You raised an eyebrow.

"Look.. After seeing how depressed he was and how hurt he was at the bar-"

"What bar?" You interrupted.

"It was awhile ago, but Toru and Hajime were at a bar drinking.. The bar where I worked.. That was the first night I've seen the two since your accident... The look on Toru's face said it all to me.."

"And that is?"

"That I'm chasing someone who would never even give me a second look.. That I was being selfish for flirting with someone else's man.."

"You feel guilty."

Kayda nodded.
"I do.. And I wanna apologize to you personally.. I know we never got along in the past and I just want you to know that I'm so sorry and I won't ever be a problem to you or Toru ever again."

You bit the bottom of your lip.
"I appreciate your apology Kayda.. I see where you're coming from and I know it was probably hard to admit you flirting with a taken man.."

"I felt dirty."

"As one with a human mind would."

"I also want you to know that I quit the volleyball team as well.. So you don't have to worry about me anymore."

You shook your head.
"It's not that I hate you Kayda.. It's that I hated how you flirted with Toru right in front of me.. You made me feel jealous-"

"As you should have.."

"Let me finish." You took a breath. "I accept your apology Kayda, and I appreciate how brave it was for you to come and talk to me.. I don't hate you Kayda, and I can see you're a nice woman, who deserves someone who would give you the second glance."

"I don't deserve someone like that.. I feel wrong for doing it.. I feel dirty even thinking that I could take him away just because you lost your memories.."

"But what makes you a good person, is that you didn't act on your thoughts. You let him go."

Kayda hummed.
"I'm sorry Y/n.."

"Thank you..but you don't need to quit the team.."

Kayda shook her head.
"I know.. But quitting the team was something I wanted to do for myself..I'm gonna find a good paying job somewhere and hopefully pay off some debt..The manger spot wasn't what I needed right now..And I only work at the bar a couple days a week.."

"I know an office job that hiring. it pays really good and it's a nice environment."

"You do?"

You nodded as you finished of your tea. "It's actually in the building where you found me earlier..I was actually about to walk in there and quit my job."

"Quit? May I ask why?"

"I decided that for me, it was time to move on.."

"Move on?"

You took in a deep breath. "After losing my memories, and then regaining them. I found this new urge to start over..to live my life...To enjoy life with something I love doing."

"Now that sounds pretty good right now." Kayda smiled.

You smiled back to her and standed up from your seat.
"Follow me, I bet I ca get you an interview on the spot."

Kayda was quick to her feet. "I'm ready when you are."

You nodded as you took the lead out of the coffee shop.

"Oh and Y/n?"

You stopped in your tracks to turn to Kayda.

"Thank you."

You offered her a small smile. "I hope we can become friends."

"Me too Y/n..Me too."
