A/N: Heyo guys! sorry for not updating for...several months. I lost interest and then suddenly my interest came back so here we are! I promise I will finish this story, I am determined to. Even if I lose interest and need to read it again to regain it.

Also, I am determined to not dissapoint you guys, cause there's a lot of you now. Like, a lot, we're at 4k reads. Thanks y'all so much for that!

This chapter is shorter than normal, mainly because I'm getting back into the groove of writing this. I promise the next one will be longer, it's kind of a big chapter plot wise.

/TW: pain, implied abuse, Remus\

Janus

Yet again we are embarking on an idiotic mission, but this time we're more prepared. According to Logan, that is. I don't think we're all that prepared if Patton is still stuck in his cat form.

"How long is this going to take, Specs?" Roman complains. I roll my eyes not for the first time tonight.

"It seems we are currently in this hall." Logan points to a hallway on the map labeled as Commodities.

"So what's down here?" I ask. I know the definition of the word Commodities, but I would like to get an idea.

"This is where all of the guards fulfill their various needs and wants, like sustenance."

"And sex!"

"Remus!" Roman hisses.

"What? A bunch of men spending this much time together get bored." Remus shrugs nonchalantly.

"Too bad they are incurably straight." I say. Virgil chuckles at that.

Logan gestures for us to follow him, so we begin walking down the hallway.

I have no idea what we're even looking for anymore. All I know is that we have been repeatedly sneaking out at night to investigate this place. We haven't found much, other than the lab and a lot of storage areas. This all seems pointless, and it definitely is going somewhere.

The entire group has so much hope that we're going to find something big. I severely doubt it at this point. This place is just...too secretive, I suppose.

The first room we find is a larger version of our cafeteria. However, based on the menu they left up, the food is much better quality. From that evidence alone, I can assume this is the guard's cafeteria. I haven't seen actual food like this in years, even if it is only in the menu pictures. Normally we're given slop, strangely color slop. I can see their reasoning for this, they don't believe we're human, but it still makes me wonder how non-human they think we are.

The next room is the guard's break room. They've got some very nice couches, and cooking appliances, and nice bathrooms. They've even got a beanbag. Logan told us all not to touch anything, but I could tell Virgil was strongly resisting the urge to go and flop down in the bean bag chair. Oh, woe, the ways they torture us.

The next room we find is the armory, however, this door needs a keycard instead of a code. This may be useful to us. Logan marks it for later, I make a mental note.

We find their showers and changing room across the hall from the break room. There's uniforms in here, all neatly folded in a laundry basket. We prisoners do our own laundry, but of course, there's somebody here to do their laundry for them, based on how every basket of laundry is folded the same.

We find their quarters. We avoid that place like the plague.

We also find the Warden and Sir's quarters. We also avoid that place like the plague. This is starting to get very sketchy, but I say nothing. It's far too amusing to see Virgil and Roman bicker about Virgil's paranoia to chime in.
