Chapter 7

I wake up to an alarm. It doesn't sound like mine. I then felt something kiss my cheek and arms around me. Rainlee. "Come on Knox. You got to get up." I grunted and snuggled more into her neck. It felt good being held for once. "Knoxley we got school. Baby you got to get up." She whined

I groaned and opened my eyes. "Fine, but it'll take a kiss to get me up." She shook her head "After you go home and shower and get ready."
I groaned one more time and dragged myself out and to my house. My mom was sitting on the couch as I opened the door. Uh oh. I forgot to come home last night "Where were you Knoxley Bennett Davie!?" She yelled. Damn the full legal name

"I'm sorry mom *tic*we were all watching movies at the Coopers and I fell asleep. I thought everyone fell asleep *tic*over there because I thought they would've been good siblings*tic* and at least told me they were leaving. I should've called and*tic* I apologize." I said looking down not meeting her parental gaze. It's gonna be one of those days. My tics feels bad today.

"Just don't do it again. Now you haven't been wearing your headphones so they've been changing in my room. Go get them I think it's going to be one of those days" I nodded frustrated because when my tics are this bad I usually hurt me or someone else. As I went up the stairs I heard my mom say 'I love you' she makes me feel so good in my skin all the time. She's the best mom I could ever ask for.

It's Friday so it's game day. My football games usually settle my tics sometimes hopefully that'll help. I get dressed, get my gear together and put my headphones on playing some music. I ticked the whole time I got ready today. This was going to be a long ass day

Once I got back to the Coopers house I sat down for breakfast. "Good morning Knoxley!Everyone will be down in a bit!" I smiled and nodded at Mrs. Cooper set down a plate of food. I took out my headphones "Thank you Mrs.Cooper. I appreciate *tic* that you make breakfast for me on game day." She rubbed my back "It's nothing. You're a good kid." She said and rubbed my head "Like the hair" she said with a wink

Shortly after i started eating my breakfast Kenson came down the stairs "Morning sissy!" He came and sat next to me after "Did you sleep here Keni?" He nodded his head making me slap him in his head. "Ouch! Why did you do that?"

"Because *tic* idiot you told mommy you were sleeping over here and *tic*didn't tell her I was and I almost got my head *tic*chopped off this morning." I said quietly snapping at him "Well how was I supposed to know? Are you feeling alright? You're ticking a lot...it's one of those days" Is he serious? That's not the problem right now. I'm mad at him he can't be nice

I ignored that last part and focused on the first part of his answer "I was asleep *tic*you moron! You-" I was cut off by Rainlee " Will you both stop arguing oh my god." She came and sat next to me. I put my head phones on and continued to eat. I ticked like crazy that breakfast I was starting to get frustrated. *tic* I threw down my fork and got up from the table "Knox where are you going?" Kenson yelled after me.

I walked out of the house and sat on the swing outside the Coopers house. I turned my headphones up and plucked my rubber band. It was starting to hurt.

Focus on the music not your tics!

Its too fast!
It hurts!

I was having a panic attack I couldn't stop it. I started to shake and I put my head in my hands. My heart feels like it's going to explode. I couldn't breathe I was gasping for air. Suddenly I felt arms around me and my headphones being taken off

"Youre ok Knoxley. Shhhhh......I'm right here. Breathe" it was Lee. I stood up and hugged her and I broke. "Let it out. Focus on my voice."

After holding me while I calmed down I finally pulled apart from her "Thank you I said in barely a whisper. She wiped my tears " You're welcome. Are you sure you want to go to school?"

I shook me head " I have to it's Friday night lights. Are you coming to the game?" I asked still in each other's embrace. She bit her lip trying to hold in a smile and nodded "Wouldn't miss it for the world." I smiled

"While we're here could I *tic* maybe get a good luck kiss?" I asked. She leaned in "Ok! We're gonna be late for school. Dude! You kiss her I'm not throwing you the ball tonight." Rexon is such a dick.

"Yeah right. Try that and see where that gets you. You need Knoxley. Here's your headphones sissy. Sorry I took them off earlier " Keni said coming from the door. Lee mouthed "later" and I nodded.

Once we got to school I was about to get out with Rexon and Kenson when Lee pulled me back and I winced. She looked concerned.

Oh no don't look at my arm

She pulled up my sleeve "Knoxley. I- what?" I pulled my arm back from her "I-it's nothing" *tic* I looked down from her "Is this from your rubber band?" I nodded. I felt so ashamed, but I couldn't help it.

"Hey it's ok! Don't do that, don't pull yourself down. You're amazing, we're going to clean your cuts, your going to get through this day, then your going to kill the game against Newton today!"

"You make me feel so good about myself...thank you" I said finally looking up at her. I didn't quite smile,but I gave her a slight one. She pulled me over the console and kissed me. "There's your good morning kiss" then she kissed me again " There's your good luck kiss" she kissed me another time "And there's another kiss because your cute"

'I love' ".......football!" I said trying to cover up that tic. I then quickly got out of the car. What did I just do? I don't want to pressure her. I mean I think I love her
