Chapter 9

"Rams on me, Rams on 3! 1!2!3!" Rexon screamed "Rams!" Everyone screamed and ran out of the tunnel. Right when I ran out I spotted Rainlee she was wearing my varsity jacket I have her earlier because she was cold. I know she just wanted to wear it I'm not stupid

"Ok boys let's go out there and kick some ass!" We all hooted and hollered and broke out of the huddle.

The game started and the first play Rex through the ball to me for a 25-yard completion.

" Green 18! Beast 686! Set...hike!" I was running a post route. I was quickly in front of my man and Rex through it perfectly "Knoxley Davie! At the  30! 20! 10! Touchdown Rams!" Kenson ran up to me and we did our handshake then jumped up and chest bumped. Once I get to the sideline I find Rainlee again and blow her a kiss.

"And at the end of the half Riverside High 17 and Woodland 10" the announcer said as we ran into the locker room.

"Great work out there boys. Cooper and Davie's keep it up. That's good shit!" He said as he slapped our shoulder pads. He continued talking about our offense and then our defensive coach talking about the defense

When we got back out to the field I ran up to Rainlee in the stands. "Baby you had two touchdowns! I'm so proud of you!" She said with that cute little smile of hers. "Both for you" I said with a huge smile.

"Dave's dinner after the game?" That's like the only place I know here but I love that place "only if you give me a kiss and other touchdown" i suck my teeth and then smirk at her. "I think I can make that happen" she leans in "Davie! You can kiss her later" I groan and kiss her hand

"Mailman! Mailman! Down 40 Set....hike!" I'm running a post the boy who's guarding me is getting rough with me. I get to the inside of him beating him down the middle of the field. Rex chucks it to me down field, but it's a little to high so I jump up to grab it only for my defender to target me sweeping my legs from under me. I catch the ball but land on my hand. I feel my finger snap. "Knoxley Davie with catch! Touchdown Riverside!"

I quickly got up, took my helmet off and ran to the sideline. "Matt I broke my finger" I yell to the trainer.

"Targeting number 43, defense. Riverside has declined the penalty touchdown." I hear the ref say as I'm in the tent. So now dick wad is out of the game and I got my touchdown. "Knox you got to go to the hospital"

"Can't you just put it back and wrap it up?" He shook his head "we both know it doesn't work that way cmon" he starts talking to his walkie talkie and next thing I know I'm in the cart being driven to the ambulance. "Yo Kenson! Get another touchdown for me little bro!" I yell to him and he gives me a thumbs up.

"The bad news is your finger is fractured, but the good news is it's only a slight fracture. You should be good to go in about 3-4 weeks." That's good because we're not playing any important teams. The nurse wraps my pointer finger and half my forearm. "Ok let's go Knox we gotta get back to the game. They're about to start the fourth quarter so you can still watch"

When we get back I had my compression shirt on and my compression pants and pads on. I went and stood beside Kenson and laid my head on his shoulder "You get that touchdown little bro?" He laughed and nodded i dapped him up with my free hand. "You broke your finger?"

"Nah it's just a fracture*tic* I'll be fine." He puts his arm around me. "It's your right hand too that's gotta suck." I laugh. I'm gonna struggle.

"Riverside wins the game 28-17! Drive safe! Signing out!" The announcer said

"Knox! Are you ok?! Does it hurt?" Lee said after the game. "I'm fine it's just a fracture I'll be *tic* back on the field before you know it." I said bringing her into a hug. "Now I did get that touchdown....sooo Dave's Diner?" She nodded "We're coming with you wherever you're going sissy!" Keni says with Rex approaching us. They've gotten very close they literally do everything together I wonder what that's all about.

I look at Rainlee for approval. She nodded her head and we head to the diner. "Where are we going Rainy?" Rexon asked his sister "Dave's diner" He nodded and leaned back in his seat

Once we got there we sat down and started talking waiting for someone to take our order. "Hi I'm Christen and I'll be your server! What can I get you guys to start off with?" Christen? I turn to see her. I haven't seen her since I moved

"Christen what are you doing here?" I say kind of annoyed "I live here now." She said with a huge smile "You two know each other?" Rainlee said looking between the two of us. "Yeah I'm her girlfriend" hold the fuck up!

"No, no, no. You're my ex-girlfriend." I emphasized the ex. She rolled her eyes "Same old Knoxley I see. Are you lying to her too so you can get with her?" I feel myself getting angry

"Cut the bullshit Christen! She never cheated on you and she sure as hell isn't lying to Rainlee. She loves her too much" Kenson cuts in. Earning a slap in the head from me and Rexon. "You weren't supposed to say anything you dumbass!" Rexon says as I agree "Oh so you love her. Yeah right."

"Is everything ok here? Hey Knoxley! How's my superstar?" Dave says coming over to us. I smile to him "Hey Dave! *tic* I'm great. Could you by chance get *tic*us a different server....this ones broken." I say with a smile knowing I was being a jerk. He smiled sympatheticly and nodded. Him and Christen left giving us another server he takes our orders and leaves

"Sooo....you love me?" Rainlee ask in a quiet voice. I shoot a 'I'm going to kill you' look at my brother and sigh. "Look Lee, I'm not really ready to say I love you yet, but I am falling harder than I've ever fallen before and what Christen said is not true I was nothing but loyal to her. But she doesn't matter, you matter. So if your ready...I'd like you to be my girlfriend." I said holding her hand and looking into her eyes. "I'm going to need you to say that last part as a yes or no question." Shes so annoying

"Rainlee Cooper, will you be my girlfriend?" She smiles and kisses me "Does that answer your question?" She says as she pulls back. "I didn't quite hear you maybe we need to do it again." She laughs and runs her hands through my hair as we look into each other's eyes

"This is so gross to me. How does someone find my sister even remotely attractive?" Kenson says. Rexon looks at me then looks at Kenson. " You do realize you guys literally look exactly the same? You basically just said your ugly dude." He goes to protest them just shuts his mouth making us all laugh at him.

Today was a good night
