➳ Adventure #4: Part 2: "a call from rich boy"

"-and today he ate the last apple! He knows I need to eat an apple every morning and he doesn't even like apples!" Kayla said. "I want him out of my house now. It's horrible having him sleeping in the room across the hall. Broden wasn't happy when he found out Jonah was staying with me. He threw a bitch fit and you know how Broden gets when he throws his bitch fits."

I nodded. Kayla was on rant mode right now so it was no use to even talk but just listen and wait.

"I didn't tell my parents why Jonah and I broke up so I guess that's why they still think there's a possibility that we'll get back together. But we're not. Even though it's taken all my will power not to give in and accept his apologies." Kayla snorted. "Anyways Broden almost kicked Jonah's ass the other day. I swear my cousin really hates Jonah."

I nodded and drank my Capri-Sun.

"Do you think I should tell my parents why Jonah and I broke up and that's it isn't the first time?" She asked.

Yes! Your Dad and Broden can team up and kick his ass and I'll join them!

"I guess. If you think it's a good idea go for it." I said.

"I might." She said then stopped walking in the middle of the hallway. "Hey Hope do you know anyone named Pedro Lorenzo?"

I thought about if I knew anyone by that name for a few seconds. "I don't think so...why?" I asked.

"It's just that I heard Broden and one of his friends talking about someone with that name." She said.

"Maybe it's someone from another school or a new student. As far as I know there's no one in this school with that name and there aren't many people in this school."

"I guess." She said and seemed to be thinking about it some more.

I looked down the hallway where there was a group of guys and people looked at them as they walked by.

"Shit." I said when I realized who they were and what they were doing.

"What?" Kayla asked but I was already storming over towards them.

"Hey leave him alone!" I yelled and squirted them with the remained of my Capri-Sun then threw it at them.

"Hope what the hell?" Trevor asked looking at me like I was crazy.

"I should be the one saying that to you!" I yelled. "What do you think you're doing?"

"Beating up Felix?" Wesley said but it sounded like a question.

"Dude she's going to kill us now." Andrew said slapping Wesley on the head.

I helped Felix up. "Are you okay?" I asked him.

"Yeah." He said looking a bit embarrassed that I had to step in and save him.

"Why were you beating him up?" I demanded looking at the three guys.

"Ulysses told us too." Wesley said.

"Idiot she wasn't suppose to know that!" Andrew said hitting him on the head again.

"You three are all idiots." I said. "I'm going to have a talk with Ulysses later about this but for now I'll deal with you three."

"Umm...I've actually got to go." Trevor said backing up. "I was suppose to...umm...meet with a teacher during break. Yeah. Bye."

Andrew and Wesley followed him.

"Hey-" I was about to yell at them to get back here and chase after them when Felix grabbed my wrist and stopped me.
