3.
"Ms. Meadow what trouble did you cause now?" The principal asked me as I walked into his office.
I smiled and took a seat on the chair in front of his desk. "I sort of made a stink bomb go off in class." I said.
"This is the seventh incident you cause this school year and it has just started." He said. "I warned you last time that next time you did something there would be consequences." He said.
"What kind of consequences?" I asked curious as to what kind of punishment I would get.
"Well according to the Leadership Club they are low on volunteers for the Homecoming Dance so as punishment you are now part of the Homecoming Dance committee. You start today after school in the Gym." He said.
"That's not that bad." I said.
"You'll have to attend the dance too." He said.
"It just got horrible." I said. "Mr. Grood why do I have to attend the dance?"
"Everyone in the committee has to attend the dance to make sure everything goes perfectly." He said.
"I hate school dances." I said.
"Then you shouldn't have made the classroom smell horrible." He said. "You are excused and you better return to class or I'll add you to the next dance committee."
I stood up and left his office. I saw Gideon, Allister, and Sutter waiting for me outside the office. I walked out saying goodbye to the secretary.
"What happened?" Allister asked me.
"Did you get detention?" Sutter asked.
"Did he find your other stink bombs?" Gideon asked.
"I'm part of the Homecoming dance committee as punishment. Also I have to attend the stupid dance." I said.
"That's not that bad." Allister said.
"Yeah. At least he didn't give you detention." Sutter added.
"I can go in there and say it was my idea. It's not fair for you only too get in trouble when we were all a part of it." He said.
"No. It's fine." I told them. "It's not like you three forced me to do it. It was my decision and anyways I would have gotten in trouble again sooner or later."
"So what exactly do you have to do as part of the Homecoming Dance committee?" Allister asked.
"Probably plan the whole dance like choosing a theme, decorating the gym, making posters announcing it, convincing people to go, making sure everyone thinks it's fun, and all that type of stuff." I said.
"It sounds like fun." Sutter commented.
"I hate dances. I didn't plan on attending any until senior year and now I have to go to Homecoming." I said.
The bell rang.
"I got your stuff." Gideon said handing me my school bag.
"Thanks." I said. "We better head to our next class. I'll see you later."
We all went our seperate ways and all I could think of is my mother's reaction when I tell her I'm part of the Homecoming Dance committee and am attending the stupid dance.

"Stop that." I said for the twelfth time.
"Stop what?" Bobby asked innocently as he continued patting my head like if I were a dog.
