Umm...yay I'm back! I haven't updated this story in months so I apologize to whoever is still reading it. I've made it one of my New Year's resolutions to finish this story so lets see how that works out.
During my time of absence I've become a senior, turned 18, and decided what I want to major in college/university. 5 more months until I graduate!

The lights flickered for the third time in the last five minutes. People looked out the window as it continued to rain and a flash of lightning was seen in the sky and soon after we heard thunder.
"This feels like a zombie movie." Someone said.
"Don't say that!" A girl snapped nervously.
"I say we should all just chill in the cafeteria." Bobby said and we both jumped when there was a loud sound of thunder.
"As long as I can read I don't care." I said continuing to read my book.
There was a storm going on at the moment and it had only gotten worse in the last hour since school started. Nobody in school seemed to be learning anything and were watching the news on the TV's in every classroom. School hadn't been canceled because an hour ago it hadn't actually been raining as bad as it was now so they didn't see the point in canceling. Now it looked like the world was ending.
"Attention all students and staff." The intercoms came on and everyone went quiet as the principal talked. "Classes have been canceled for the day." The whole school cheered. "But unfortunatly you can't got home in this weather. Everyone will go to the cafeteria or library and check in with a teacher once there. Nobody is allowed in the hallways without teacher permission and needs to be accompanied by someone." The lights flickered again. "Your parents have been notified and once the storm has gone down they will come to pick you up and/or you will be let go to go home. The lights seems to have gone out in half the town and most likely will go out in the school soon. Everyone please keep calm and just head to the cafeteria or library and stay away from any glass windows. Thank you."
"Okay everyone do as he said." Ms. Rose said.
"Lets go my little bookworm." Bobby told me and grabbed my bag and his. He's been doing that a lot lately. He'll carry stuff for me like my lunch or school bag or even books.
We left the classroom and saw everyone out in the hallway looking for their friends as the lights continued flickering.
"You know this is actually starting to feel like a horror movie." Bobby whispered in my ear. "You're the damsel in distress and I'm the handsome knight here to protect you from any zombies."
"Boo!" Sutter snuck up on Bobby and Bobby jumped and let out a scream.
"You were saying." I smirked. "Don't worry. I'll protect you."
"Damn it Sutter!" Bobby said embarrassed meanwhile Sutter laughed.
"The others are heading to the library." Sutter told me. "Rumor has it that's going to be the less crowded place. Come on."
"I'll walk in front of you in case a scary zombie appears." I told Bobby.
The three of us headed to the library which Sutter had been right about it not being crowded. Only the people who actually enjoyed being in the library and came in here.
"We need to sign in before the lights go out." I said walking to the front desk.
"I'll add your names." The library lady said when she saw us and recognized us.
"Thank you ma'am." Bobby said.
The three of us then headed towards the table where our friends were at.
